So i have decided to buy a bldc and it comes soldered...
so it will require a set of female connectors, there is no information about the size of the connectors..
is there any standard i should know or will the female connectors be there if i buy it..?
i am buying from robu.in.. :help: :help: ??? ???

taksh

I brought 3.5mm bullet banana connector for my esc and motor and on international website like AliExpress, you can find pack
I brought 20 pair of 3.5mm bullet banana connector with heat shrink tubing.
But problem comes in soldering connector. These connector take too much solder. So, before buying connector, also think about 1mm solder wire also. Almost my 2 x  solder wire roll wasted in soldering connector.

Mehul Anand

actually the connectors of motor are soldered i want to know the size of them..

taksh

You will need vernier caliper for measurement and try to measure with measuring scale.
Motor kaha se buy ki hai ?

Mehul Anand

robu.in se  karne waale hain, toh saath mein connectors bhi mangana chate hain

Mehul Anand

although the diameter of the esc's wire is 3mm

Mehul Anand

but the connectors of the motor worries me..
it should be exactly deep and have same radius

taksh

bhai product page pr likha hoga..
jaha se kardhi hai motor. wasie 3.5mm bullet connector hee atta hai mena gold chinese wali buy ki hai ..

Mehul Anand

so 3.5 mm is the standard?
nothing is written on the page..

Please copy link or post a photo, if your motor is less than 1000w watt it surely has 3.5 mm bullet connectors, and you are lucky that you got it presoldered , just connect ESC may be if you are lucky you will get presoldered female bullet connectors.

Hello Mehul,
If you are buying a BLDC motor, then you probably know that a matching ESC (electronic speed control) is required to run it (and a Lipo battery of suitable voltage/number of cells, and a suitable balance charger)
Motors and ESCs may or may not come with bullet connectors already soldered, depending on make.
Obviously the male connectors on the motor have to be the same size as the female ones on the ESC.
That's why bullet connectors are sold in pairs, usually 10 pairs per pack, sometimes 5 pairs per pack (eg, hobbyxyz.com)
The size of the connectors required depends on the current draw, or in other words on the size of the motor. The typical motor likely to be purchased by a beginner will usually have 3.5mm connectors. Small motors will have 2mm connectors.

So before buying anything, ensure that the motor, prop, ESC, lipo, charger are all matched, and appropriate for your project.

BTW, soldering connectors is not a problem if you know how.
If needed I'll explain it after you get all your stuff.
Regards
