Avadhesh Khaitan  the Delhi based lawyer who quite his profession to pursue his child hood hobby of aero modelling is supplying Indian airforce with these Jx2 models as high speed targets.

Tech spec- JX2 (propellor-based) unmanned aerial targets , These can achieve speeds up to 0.2 Mach. Kadet's JX3 is a jet turbine powered UAV and can touch 0.5 Mach. At the price of 1lakh each

If I am not mistaken, Kadet Defence Systems is based in Calcutta. I was under the impression that Mr. Irshad Anwar was the founder/owner of the company. I stand corrected.

@VC Mr. Anwar does deal in Quads and Aerial Targets for the army, but they are just towing platforms and 26cc high wing trainers.

His Quads are used for surveillance Pan-India that's what I have heard)

There is another start up based in Kolkata, TechBla Aerospace http://techblaaerospace.com/Default.aspx . One of the engineers had come to our college and was talking about the company's interest in building sub-orbitals, UAV's etc. I don't know how much they have progressed with their projects.
