Pilot training also comes into play. For all we know, the F-22 will be developed even further.Just one fighter cannot turn China into  a threat for the USA.The USA does have the B1-B Lancer and the legendary B-52 Stratofortress on the bomber front.

Still, this development is a cause for alarm in the Indian camp.We might have more stuff in development but we have to get faster.A country which is as capable as China being so close to us is not very comforting.DRDO,get to work.If you've got stuff, show it off.It can be a good psychological weapon as well.

China has developed a 6th generation Figther Jet. Our LCA Tejas is not even fully 5th Gen!!
It would be better if Govt allows Indian industry giants like Tata/Rilliance to takeover ailing Russian companies like Sukhoi. HAL and DRDO have miles to go, and most of their talented scientist would retire in the next 8-10 years!! See how pathetic recent GSLV launches have been in new incapable staffs.

Stuff we have to worry about.

I see we have some members from the Armed Forces. What do they have to say about this?

Besides, the B2 bomber is also in the bomber front of USA..
Being  a stealth bomber, no radar can also detect it!

I would strongly recommend that such people NOT comment on a public forum, for a variety of reasons.

Is it just me or does this thing look almost like the F-22??

It's not the plane but the pilot and no one really knows how capable they are unless they get into the war. US might think that they are super power but no one knows about the real power that they have and same applies to China or India for the matter. The real defense picture never goes in the public hand for the good cause. We can do apple to apple comparison but comparing a nations' defense ancillary power is not the same thing.

These planes are not invisible to radar. They are just harder to detect. No plane is invisible.
The Russian S300/S400 SAM can take them out, perhaps the F-22 with careful planing can get really close and take out the SAM but the S300/S400 are mobile launchers, they can even take out a incoming ballistic missiles.

The Russian PAK-FA / indian dual seat version of the same and the chinese J20 are designed to have low RCS at the front. From the pictures the J20 appears to better then the russian version in front and other angles,PAK-FA doesn't have a flat belly and the turbine blades can be seen where as the J-20 appears to have S-bend to hide the blades.

The F22 designed close to 20 years ago however has superior radar ,superior sensor suite and is all aspect stealth from various angles, reduced heat signature ,its radar is also harder to detect and its top speed is still classified and has much higher trust then the 117S russian engine of the PAK-FA let alone the even inferior WS-10 engine of the J-20.So even in a dog fight the higher trust always comes in handy for a high sustained turn rate.

Should india worry yes.I bet the US will reopen the production lines of the F22 and will also get upgrades.

may be a paint job on an F-22 or may be a use and throw version. With rc perhaps - full scale rc I mean. ;-)

And the best and possibly funniest comment to this article:

You know the funniest part about making some of the best weapon technology, BrahMos for example in association with the USSR, they cannot induct it into their arsenal, since their constitution clearly states that they cannot buy weaponry from other states. They have only been selling it to other countries. Also someone here mentioned about Tejas, the project was started back in 90's to replace our then ageing Migs, even by now they havnt earned full operational clearance, and yes this means we are still using our ancient Migs.

I bet with cleaner, more reliable designs, amazing Command and Conquer Integration and higher flying hours, US Jets are way superior to just anything on the face of the earth.

Remember, the US planes remain 'Best of the Best' even after 20 years of De-Classifying. U2 Dragon Lady, F-117, SR26 Black Bird and even F22/35 are examples of that. Now imaging the Black-Planes that would be under development right now ...

China can only imitate, but could never perfect such technology as its spending and Know-How on such Research is way inferior. The Chinese knock-off or RC world is itself an example.

The real question is, where we stand as a country ? Tomorrow I would be going for Aero India 2013 again, and I bet I won't have a pleasant answer with me coming out of the Exhibition area.

Very profound...
But what has this got to do with build threads ?

I must add the significant change or rather the trend is, I could see a lot of companies having uav  solutions. Guess the whole world is moving towards unmanned and autonomous vehicles !! I even saw a quadcopter with fpv. And it had a ibcrazy clover leaf antenna for data link !!!!
