Friend i am trying to design a rc robot which will climb a tree and pluck a coconut

coolpratheesh

Any particular designs in mind... or are u experimenting???

Pylon..its easy to make a coconut tree climber with high torque / high speed plastic gear boxes, and can control by a simple 9 channel radio, include the coconut plucker..make a split ring type structure for body, with auto tensioner mechanism, so, it can climb any sized trees..
Phoenix.........

a non sharp spiked wheel gave me a beeter non slip grip over tree, and place the wheels in 120 degree each..

Simple,
Search High mast maintenance system. It contains 2 sets of three spring loaded wheel among which power will be given for rising and taking down.Spring loading for self adjust the alignment.
And of course robotic arm (with powerfull servo and a rotating cutter like dremel.

Thanks
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

I was also planning to build something similar for Vidyut a robotic competition. Please let us know when you start building one.

Climbing a pole is one matter and plucking coconuts is another issue. Anyone got a schematic to explain?

rohitvijaykadam

I guess climbing tree is easy. But How you are going to pluck coconuts?

Swapnil

Hey Shaunak, a coconut plucking machine was successfully tested by Mr. Zakarias Mathew last September.
