Most of you must be aware by now that Indian Rupee has got, finally, a proper face....
Now it'll be great to see a symbol instead of INR or Rs...
One proud thing the government did, a proud moment for all Indians and IIT-Mumbai also..

Hey i just got the TTF file for our Rupee font and it works superb, i was unable to attach the font file here. but if someone wants it i can pm him (hopefully).
you just select the 'Rupee Foradian' font and press 'Tilda' (~) key. the symbol appears.
and it works in Linux as well!!

How long will it take for RBI to roll out notes with new symbol? So they will start reclaiming the old notes huh?
