Back again to creating  some topics to wake up everybody   >:D >:D and start some  :argue: :argue: Rather than the usual stuff we have been having lately of Hobby City , customs , tower ,  courier , post, items for sale ETC ETC   .

If there is one thing I have been seeing over the past  month or so on the forum it has been  that  we seem to be  discussing around  the usual that we IndiaN's  are good at :
1) Discussing prices and economics
2) Showing  how smart and informed we are in getting great deals ( again related to price ).
3) Experiences with customs , courier , hooby shop's etc
4) Posting links and  Videos of guys  from other parts of the world who done some very very creative things and great stuff   and feel great that  we are the ones to have discovered that link or video : the feeling is almost as if it is our  own invention  ,

this phenomenon is not restricted to only forum members  but also there in   lot many others with whom I have been interacting  during the course of my business .

We  would rather troll thru a great amount of information on the net  for any small idea to see  if some one has done it before rather than  try out our idea ourselves  and the probability is if no one has then we would  rather not be the first to do it  .

In the last month the only original threads I can remember  which were original were by SUBU   : EDF Slow Stick and Giant Foam Yak  AND ASTHA WITH HIS ROOFING SHEET PLANE:)}  I dont have a top of the mind recall of any other thread that struck me as original and out of the way.

SO  DO WE LACK CREATIVITY OR RISK TAKING ABILITY OR  WILL  TO TRY OUT OUR IDEAS OR LACK  IDEAS ITSELF  :headscratch:  :banghead:

I have many ideas in mind...which i can draw it on paper but due to money...it is difficult for me to actually implement it.......i don't know whether my ideas are original or not, that can be seen only after posting.

IDEA 1 : both side plane ....can some one make a plane which can fly both ways :headscratch:...to and fro.....using VPP setup.....????
Fly high if you have good set of batteries.....!

Well, cost is definitely an important factor. But, I believe you can find substitute materials for most of the components. Thatz where the other part of creativity is. As it is said - Where there is a WILL there is a WAY...and you either find a way or make one yourself.

Here is a nice video of Luftwaffe experimental aircrafts.. good to kindle few creative minds here.

"Anything can fly" - SPADs just prove that!

Sandeep ,
I recently recovered some brushed motors from broken servos they look to be great for micros.
I will soon be getting 1.5 gram servos
Specs
Type:Analog
Application:Ultra-Micro Aircraft
Torque:2.8 oz. of Force
Speed:0.14 sec
Weight:1.5 g
Gear Type:Nylon

I am sure you can get some IR transmitter receiver available from some toy .
here is an esc :

A few CF rods or even  kabab sticks should be good enough for a .

I think a guy like you should be able to come up with an indoor flyer with these ideas

i also have some 2-3 motors which u r talking about.....which i forget. thanks for reminding me... {:)}
if you remember i had purchased GW/EDP-20 ELECTRIC DIRECT-DRIVE POWER SYSTEM from you sometimes back. surprisingly.. similar kind of motor with longer shaft  is available for Rs. 25/- at a local shop here..... i purchased 5 of them. unfortunately my IR tx is giving problem that it is not charging the receiver battery which i took from a micro heli.... i only have to purchase some depron meat tray to make a small rc plane.. which will be ready very soon.... fuse will be 2 mm carbon fiber rob only....will post the pic very soon.
and for the ESC you mentioned.. what motor can be used on this...??
Fly high if you have good set of batteries.....!

tg

Sai,
That ESC is for brushless motors. Do you have a brushless motor that will go with that ESC. I really would like to make a micro for myself - need servos, rx that will be suitable. All my planes are too big or my rooms are too small  :-\. Pls. let know. I do have small motors that run on 1.5v AAA batteries (same size as the motor in a servo), but no idea of any ESC that can be used with it.

rcforall

TG ,
The ESC is for brushed motors , I have kept the ESC's to brushed because for a starter a brushed micro would be a good way as motors would be easier to come by and as Sandeep said  available locally Cheap.

In fact I have a just got some receiver's as well  with v tail mixing

There are servo actuators also  like these weighing 0.2 gms  :

I have a small range of products for micros including a plane called Blue Arrow CUPID which is a 60 gms ARF which has motor , 2 servos , Micro receiver , ESC battery  and the works for around Rs 4000/-
it is a 610 mm wing span indoor glider.

We have discussed to death why the state of affairs are as such in the innovation thread (http://www.rcindia.org/rc-general-topics/lack-of-rc-innovation-in-india/).  And more over, I am not sure people are ready for such discussions either 8-)

I did witness a flash of creativity at our field during the last flying session.  Someone had taken the elevators of two Calmato 40s that had crashed at various points in the past, and built a new small balsa biplane using those elevators as the wings.  That was a pretty creative re-use of stuff that would have been thrown away otherwise (or just the balsa being reused).  He got a nice set of wings (profile ones though) with control surfaces attached, from junk !  Missed taking pictures, will try to get them next week.
