Hi! I recently ordered a drone from banggood.com which got stuck at mumbai customs. It was the first time i ever ordered the drone so i did not know about the regulations.
But i've checked out and found that the drone rules and regulations have been changed this year (2018). So the nano drones which are below 250 grams could be allowed with no problems and my drone qualifies this.but the officers aren't getting it cleared. I am assuming they dont know about new drone policies and would talk to them about it. Just wondering if it Would be possible to get it cleared ?
I appreciate your answers :)

Can you share the link for the new rules?
Or wherever you read about them?

Please follow this link. I am not sure about importing rules but this one clearly states that nano drones should have no restrictions.

Based on this, nano drones should be imported without any issue

Where this model aircraft details are shown in government website?

Drone category, rules are mentioned here..

But still there is no clear indigation that an individual can import nano drone into India.

In none of the document they haven't mentioned about model aircraft?
Where can I get details regarding model aircraft?

Every week on Rcindia people post about drones stuck at customs,
its a waste of money time and efforts for the person trying to import without knowledge, and by the time the person realises thats drones are still banned its too late.
We as a community should do something about it.
People contact LHS, after they face this situation to try and buy something locally after all this and end up paying twice as much.

Its a win win for everyone with a proper solution to this problem, it also helps growing the RC community stronger.

Sorry Shanmuganathan I am not sure about model aircraft.
I was mentioning about quad copter (drones).

Well said.
Lots of people facing this issue and still now there is no solution. Based on new rule nano drones are legal to import as their purpose is to hobby and study. But still at customs these products are blocked.

Everyone should get a clear solution for this problem.
