I don't know the legality as the books are selling even soft copy, but their database of formula is the best known all over the world. However, as the book link cannot be downloaded easily, seems legal.

Walk down to the nearest Lab Chemicals supplier and buy a 500gm jar of Potassium Nitrate (KNO3). While you are at it, pick up a jar of Sulphur powder. Both are marketed by the Merck group.
