ive been trying to find a suitable way of being able to record fpv video, im currently using a small lcd screen to get live feed, but is there any way to record it directly or even via laptop, a way that is not very expensive too?

To record on laptop, get an EasyCap adapter for ~10$. You may even split video line to feed both lap & the small screen if needed.

@Immanuel, which camera are you using? The LCD screen you are using, does it have A/V out option?

"With USB 2.0 connection: the output resolution will be full-screen DVD video resolution up to 720x480 at 30 fps for NTSC and 720 x 576 at 25 fps for PAL"

If that level of resolution is okay for you, go for it. O/p will be 480p. It's pretty cheap enough to try out.

Ofcourse you'll get live feed on the DVR software. About delays, i'm in no position to comment. It's a cheap trick that mostly works if HD quality is not a requirement. Mine is still on the way from B G.

Is there a more better way of doing it, like something more expensive?, within 1k?

How about some normal TV tuner card with composite i/p for desktop? Wont' be portable but will support full quality. 1k might be a squeeze though.
