As the subject says "fraud mails" I just wanted to highlight this topic out here since most of us order a lot of stuff from other websites and normally we are online everyday..
It is just a public notice to BE AWARE of " fraud mails " or mostly popular by " nigerian scams ".
Never Ever Give Away " YOUR PASSWORD" To Anyone or dont ever fall prey to those stupid mails you might be getting as spams saying that you have won some million dollars blah blah...
I knw this topic is no way related to what we discuss here.. But I think this is serious stuff since I read in the newspaper almost everyday about these nigerian scams...
So just BE AWARE.. HAPPY FLYING.. ;D
And try to limit the number of online stores where you give out your credit card information. Paypal is a good alternative.
The technical term used for such attacks is Phishing and comes under general category of social engineering
u can also use netsafe cards (virtual cards) for online purchases, if u r purchsing for 2000.00 rs then u can make a virtual
card for rs 2000.00 from the banks website. u r never giving ur original card number to the merchants only the virtual card number,i am using this method often, using my master card issued by HDFC bank. not sure how many other banks support this
