Funds Sanctioned for UAV to Tamilnadu Police

Today Home Department of Tamilnadu sanctioned 95,00,000INR for procuring UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicles).These UAV played vital role in Madurai Granite Scam.IIT students helped to use these UAV.

Recently Tamilnadu Police used UAV to monitor crowded area during festival season.The proposal was sent following CM announcement at Collectors and Police officers conference.

MoU would be signed by the Police with Anna University.The University would help Police personnel develop skills in the relevant area of technology for handling these UAV.

Mr K.Senthil Kumar associate professor at the department of Aerospace Engineering MIT said these UAV were long only associate with military operations has now been recognized for civilian applications.

These UAV could be used not only for monitoring traffic it could be used for reaching out to areas affected by natural calamities.

During flash floods in Uttarakhand a team led by Mr Kumar had gone there with the equipment and helped in the rescue operations.

I See It is a good step for our security.Tamilnadu goverment has taken good steps. :) One day it will be all over india . Indian goverment is taking good steps for our security :) Keep It Up :hatsoff:
