Before I moved to India, I lived in Switzerland.  I knew of three Indian food stores in Bern so I know Indians go there to live.  The Swiss are very keen on having everything in proper order.  I knew the RC flying  club in Worb, about 15 km from Bern.  If you ever get a chance, you won't forget Switzerland.  My vid from the daily commute.

How is the flying club in Shillong?  Must have much more wide open areas than New Delhi?

So I read about Shillong on Wiki.  Seems there are more girls than guys there.  Lucky you.

it's is  matriarchal society here, meaning boy gets married and go to the girls house, and is surname changes to that of hers, in the rural, guys cook and clean girls work and earn bread. so you can imagine why the numbers of girls (All of them look good, alas! i am an old man, 42 yrs old) are more.

Few corrections there Group Capt:

1. 42 is NOT old. Believe me. (How dare you?)

2. Khasis follow a Patriarchal but Matrilineal society. The tribe is ruled by a male but property is inherited through the female line. (The woman owns the home, and it goes to her youngest daughter after her death.) Yes, the groom adopts the brides surname too.

3. Shillong is the "Scotland of the East". It used to be "Switzerland" till the majority of the Pines got felled for timber. Now the only place that will remind one truly of the Swiss Alps would be the Tse La Pass.

I didn't know much about Shillong before I started this post.  Knowing what I know now, I would rename it "Go To Shillong"!
