Title: How do you import batteries
Post by: AshokP on January 14, 2016, 08:07:58 PM
Hi,

As all of us know that LiPo batteries are not allowed by air cargo. I have come across almost all sites telling "No Batteries" on their checkout page or during buying process.

I know many LHS do sell batteries, but the brand & configuration are not available at any Indian site. I am stuck. Has anyone a clue on how to get them? Even if I get similar brand batteries in India, they are almost double the price.

Thanks,

Ashok

I am not sure what configuration of battery you are looking for.

Off late this website helped me to check who has what in LHS.

Others can also try and share a feedback if this is helpful.

I am looking for 5200 mAh Revolectrix batteries. Sadly, no LHS stocks them.

Hi Ashok,

We were facing similar issue for a while. We wanted to use Gens Ace for our projects but fortunately at that time www.gimbalworld.com helped us as they had the stock. I think way out should be that it could be imported via water ways if we have regular requirements. Unfortunately there are not many users who use more expensive batteries.

Or you can simply go to websites like http://www.kinetichobbies.com/
rcbazaar.com
quadkopters.com
or rcdhamaka.com

These are reputed websites and there owners are the existing and active Forum members. THEY MAY HELP YOU. :)

Paying them (May be liitle extra) would be a lot worth. Than getting into trouble. Or waiting for the product to be delivered for long time.

I am in no way related to the above mentioned websites. Just giving an opinion which may be helpful to you :).
