I have searched on the internet but I would like to know how the people in India design...
;D
Thats Funny, I think you are Indian too. Lets see how you do .
Actually you are funnier..
@Mehul Anand
Search "biplane for newcomers by K K Iyer".
@taksh I want to design though their are no plans in the bi.
@mehul anand,
Maybe you started this thread not as an enquiry, but as just an opportunity to chitchat with others without any value addition!
No sir I really want to know....
I wonder what made you think so...
The world over, traditionally the first step is to copy someone else's proven design!
But that's not what you asked.
You want to know 'how people in India design'
I don't know. Maybe by looking for Pushpak Viman in mythological texts.
But in the over 100 year history of aeromodelling, I've not come across any ORIGINAL INDIAN design, except 2-3 by Father Carlson of Calcutta in the Indian Modeller magazine in the late 60s.
Every single kit/plan in India is a copy of the work of an overseas (mostly UK) designer
Except my Indore Bipe! Haha. I swear I didn't steal anyone's design ;D
However if you want to know 'how to design a model aircraft'
(Instead of 'how people in India design')
You can get dozens of answers on Google.
Mehul, please try to build a chuck glider and do a 10 second flight, before 'badi badi batein'
Regards
@Mehul Anand
First design small plane with standard rules.
You can use 5mm thermocol & coroplast (from advertisement coro board).
Plane will not fly in first chance. You need to move rudder & elevator by hand. There is a style of hand launching plane.
mere banaya hua plane ravi maker ki plane ki copy hai but usme kuch small changes karke maine usko bedia banayya hai aur mere hand launch plane 1st floor se upar chala jata hai.
Chota se banaya hue plane hai coro se aur coins se balanced hai.

Don't waste your money in designing big plane. You can get experience of hand launching and plane design with small plane.
@K K Iyer you are right!.
Ab mujhe pata chala gaya hai ki app hamesha meri batoon ko "badi badi batein" kyoo kehta tha.
@Mehul Anand
Karna muskil hai lekin rukna asan hai hai ruk gaye tho kuch nhi kar payooge...
baat karne se acha hai ki anubhav kiya jaaye.
ek small plane bana kar dikhyoo jho 1st floor ki height thek jaa payee..
sir
have a look

I have designed my own planes ( didn't copy any design,but yeah I copied the main concepts) there's like some rules of thumbs for plane design you have to know. I mean you could experiment and debunk the rules, but most of them lare tried and tested.
CORRECTION
There is ONE fantastic design by an Indian.
Please see. IT WILL BLOW YOU AWAY!
(Apologies to the designer prasad.chodankar for not mentioning it earlier.)

Prasad.chodankar sent me a PM, saying
"There may be many more designed by Indians (and on this forum itself) that are unique.
All those also require recognition."
Yes, of course.
So I request those who know of original designs by Indians to post details or links here.
If there ARE many original designs by Indians, then I owe all the designers an apology
Dear Iyer Ji ........ Thank you very very much for the kind of recognition and appreciation that you are giving to my thread.
All your posts have really inspired me a lot.
once again :thanks:
