Drill a hole in wood and insert the carbon fiber rod with the 2 part glue, Like Araldite.

Dude...don't use araldite unless u have experience handling it's mess....in market you will get something called fevitite...or use some other c.a glue....you'll get solid instant bond....
Fevi kwik is also good....but more viscous c.a glue is best...
Araldite takes time to cure etc..also if not mixed properly..it's a mess....

Hot glue also wrks good..but adds weight....
