How to paint my ft alpha made of corrugated plastic??
Tell me something reasonable for a 14 year old...
And those who think making planes by savaging sunboard from poles and keeping the plane white is impossible see this..

AL HAM SHARI

You can use spray paints without any problem. That is almost reasonable for a 14 year old.

So how much do spray paints cost and where to find them??

Mehul Anand

I just read about vinyls and in that post it said it doesn't add much weight and it would be easy so again, cost and where to find them(sounds like fantastic beasts and where to find them)?

AL HAM SHARI

Normally all Hardware stores have spray paints in my area. Check yourself.

1. No spray paint adheres well on Corro. Even if you follow a regime of pre-treatment (thinner scrub) it will peel off. If you intend your model to have a reasonable life this is best avoided
2. Vinyl is the best option, but remember do not make a continuous covering; instead put a pattern. To get an idea see:  http://www.rcindia.org/rc-people/builds-i-have-posted-on-rci/
3. There are 2 common types of vinyl. One is the regular, which has a matte finish, and tends to be heavier. The other is "glossy"or "reflective"type. This is much lighter and has a vastly superior bond adhesion. The correct technique is to cut the pattern you want, spray household glass cleaner (Colin)on the Corro surface, peel of the backing film, apply the vinyl, wipe off excess liwuid with a clean soft cloth
4. Corro ( locally called Sunpack) Dealers keep different types and colours of Vinyl. The rate is Rs. 10-15 per running foot for regular, Rs. 15-20 for Reflective. A recommended brand of reflective vinyl is Nicolite, easily available at least in Delhi area. If you can't find a Corro dealer, go to a signboard maker. He can guide you to find the dealer, and he may just give you some end-cuts and scraps of Vinyl free of cost

Good luck, and let us know how it worked out

OK but I am already having trouble finding one.
I found one but he tricked m, he was saying 1000 for 8×4 I forgot the price people told and gave him an advance of 500 which I never got back....

I presume you are talking of Corro sheets. The price in Delhi is 120₹ for 2.5-3 mm thickness, and 150 for 4 mm. Vinyl sheet is sold per running foot, in 2 feet width
