Hi..

I am building a rc plane with 1400kv motor, 30A esc, 2cell li-ion battery and 10x4.5 prop.

The problem is, when i trigger the throttle motor is getting restart often. Some time it is running. But often it is restarting. I don't know why it is happening.
I have checked motor continuity, all are good. Resistance values are same. I have done esc calibration.

Herewith attached the video for reference. Help me to resolve the problem.

Hi Bala Tr
Welcome to the forum!
There isnt any videos posted, only 2 images present!

What i feel is happening is since you are using a 2cell Li-ion battery, the battery is providing 8.4v at max to your esc which may be less for your setup
you can try this, remove the propeller and throttle all the way up and see if the problem arises, if not then it means that with the propeller on, the current draw is high enough that the ESC is just shutting itself down, something like a low voltage protection feature.
if the problem is still there even without the propeller it could mean that the bullet connectors all 3 of them between ESC and motor might be loose and need to be re soldered.

Remember this the battery is the single power source for all electronics onboard the aircraft, like the servos and receiver all will consume power from the battery via the ESC. So you need to make sure that your battery can supply the aircrafts power requirement.

Try going with a 3cell Lipo and i would like to point that your propeller size 10x4.5 may not be well suited with a 1400kv motor as the motor would draw more current then its rated design and would cause damage to the whole aircraft. try going with a 9x4.5 or a 9x4.7SF propeller.

A safety note clean up your wiring, i am sorry to say this but its a mess and it will contribute to all sorts of signal interferences!

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, video is not uploaded.

You are right about the prop. Without propeller, motor is running good (without restarting).
But i tried 3cell li-ion battery (i don't have lipo). Then also same happening. With propeller, motor getting restart. Without propeller, running fine.

In this case, if the voltage is problem, then it should run with 3cell battery.

What should i do now. Changing prop will solve the issue..

Resolder all the bullets between motor and ESC

Bala tr

Hi.. mohammad sir..
Resoldered all bullet connectors. But still same problem.

Actually today i observed that, fs transmitter will show the Rx voltage. When the motor is restarting same time voltage getting drop below 5v.

So as you told voltage is not enough for my setup. Maybe i should try with 3s lipo battery and smaller size prop.

Please share your opinion and suggest me the size of propeller and Mah for battery.

I am using A2212 1400kv bldc, 30a esc, 4nos SG90 micro servos. Length of the plane 680mm, wing span 665mm, made with cardboard.

Thanks.

Go with a 3s 1800mah 25c lipo should give a decent flight time and also be relatively lighter than a 2200mah

for prop you can go with a 9x4.5 or 9x4.7

https://flyingmachines.in/product/gemfan-9045-propeller-ccw/

you can have a look with the above mentioned link, they do have 3s lipo as well!

Problem solved..

Tried with 3s lipo battery and its working fine.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Glad to hear! Thanks for the update.
Happy and safe flying!
