Hey sirs yes i did see the idea advertisement and i love it.
But one question how did the boy install Talking feature in the drone.
Regards,
Aman.

The first thing that comes to mind is that he didn't. This is an advertisement and so you probably shouldn't take it as real tech. The fact that they included a multirotor in it is great, but the talking part is probably edited into it. Of course, you could always install a sound playback module into a multirotor if you wanted.

It is a 550 hexacopter frame with black colour motos.

Awesome advertisement.

To be frank, the current DGCA diktat on Drone/UAV is ALL due to Amazon's PR misadventure of delivering goods through Multirotors.

Please dont get exited by this Ad. Such ads are bringing more trouble for our hobby than ANY good.

In this case, the usage of the word 'drone' is appropriate since the hexacopter in the ad shows a pretty high level of autonomy. Here, I don't mean to say it actually is that autonomous, it is only shown as such. However, I agree that this sort of ad can create even more misconceptions abut the hobby. People who see it might think that our hobby multirotors are as capable as this, which is a wrong impression.

sooraj.palakkad

Yeah, Yeah I noticed a not so glad impression on my neighbor's faces when I flew my quad last time :giggle:

Why we don't call our multirotors, Drones ?, because the later is something referred to fully autonomous Unmanned aerial vehicles, that can carry out military operations or do some specific tasks that require more capabilities than a human.
On the contrary, the RC multirotors or planes we make are purely for recreational purpose. Though the present state of the art Control systems developed by 3DR , Multiwii(Thanks to Alex),and DJI gives some more capabilities to our poor RC Crafts, they are still nothing but Toys compared to the Military UAVs of US (Recently you people should have read the Assassin of an Al-queda leader in Pak by a UAV all the way from the states !!).
So when we ourselves start calling our model airplanes and Multirotors UAV or Drone,............Well, I think that's enough you can think the outcome of it in a Country like India.

PS : I Love my country - not trying to criticize the way it is  :)

:iagree: The main problem in our country is the lack of knowledge about the hobby, though this is even a problem in the USA where many people are concerned (especially by FPV flying). In fact, a man was attacked by a woman at a public beach for taking aerial video. The only thing I wanted to add is that as of now, even the military does not use fully autonomous aircraft, even their drones are remotely operated at extremely long range. The highest level of autonomy I have heard of is the X-47B jet that landed on a aircraft carrier autonomously, using an advanced algorithm

Have you heard of the latest nail in the coffin (??) that is also probably going to be imported by the DGCA? An airplane (Airbus A320) had a near miss with a "drone" at the Heathrow Airport as reported in The Sunday Times in July. The pilot of the Airplane reported the sighting at about 700 feet to the UK Airprox Board (UKAB) and an investigation was launched. The Board gave it the Risk Rating as "A", the highest of the five. The investigators could not identify the 'drone' (or the UAV). It did not show up on the radar, it seems. What is awaiting us, here in India?
