depends on the size of that parcel .. usually it takes 5 days to reach you local post office .. if customs don't sniff around.
if its held by customs  you will get a registered post ( if its a quadcopter ) else your tracking will show contact customs ..

It's a smart watch and current status is same from last 4days :( Since it's showing 'BANGALORE SUB FGN POST' so shall I contact Sub FGN Post office or shall I wait for further update on it's status? Please suggest.

its not yet cleared from customs...the package is sent  from Kolkata FOREIGN LCAO  to Bangalore SUB FGN POST. In Bangalore the customs will check the package...

It has been 2 weeks and no update after this... calling BANGALORE SUB FGN POST on 080 2286 9993 goes to a wrong number and no response to my email...
Can anyone here help me figure out what's going on with my package, how to contact them, etc...

It's called Mecool M8S PRO PLUS. It costed me 1950 from sale goin on at banggood. Amazing light product. Nothing fancy. It's a 2gb vatirent. Though user interface is very cheap but it's works like charm . It can play every game but at time game lags a bit. For 1950 it's a good deal.

For me ,my parcel was in Bangalore sub fgn post for over 15 days. I too was worried if customs have blocked it.  But you know how indian postal system is. Eventually you will get it.

Hi, I am expecting a parcel from Aliexpress. Tracking number: RF474998134SG. The status in India Post says the item is in "BANGALORE SUB FGN POST" since last 5 days, but the status in Aliexpress says "Held by Customs"

What should I do? Wait for some more days or contact the BANGALORE SUB FGN POST office directly ?

it is showing as transferred from office of exchange  - Bangalore sub FGN Post from 27th of Sep - 2017.

have received no update since then.

You should contact banglore fgn and what is the product it depends on it.

You have to wait at least 7 working days once its arrived in FGN POST. Don't trouble them by calling for small game pad.  Even I have ordered game pad last month and received it in 20 days from china to india.

I order small quadcopter from Banggood which is about palm size. and its stuck in Bangalore SUB FGN POST. No update on status from last 15days. Now i will wait 10days more and ask for refund from banggood if not delivered.
All other orders which i placed on same date got delivered 10 day before only quadcopter held by them.

i am asking you about the gamepad you purchased

mine is generic Android game pad which cost 12$ yours seems 40-50$ but size of game pad is same. if box packing is very big then they may hold ask for proof of original bill etc. or you may receive in another 7days. wait else ask for refund from where you brought.

i asked question on aliexpress regarding the gamepad g4s and found that around 10-12 people had bought from india and some also ordered 2 pieces at same time and none of them paid any custom duty and i also ordered orico 3.5 hdd enclousure and it is also pending form 9-oct but i was around only 14$ and seller also written low values on both products by default

Yes always aliexpress and banggood declares low value some time too much low value that customs will held and they decide the price for the item as per Indian market. Banggood sent 4 items in one pack which cost 39$ and they declared as 5$ but that parcel was sent to customs to decide any custom duty payable but luckily they released that parcel as it doesn'tt had any big electronic items in that. I got that item after 10 day. So be patient and wait for another week to get your items. else last chance is to raise dispute in aliexpress if not received.

Quick update. I had ordered a Yi 4k+ camera from Aliexpress, cost $285. The item was stuck in Bangalore sub FGN Post from past 6 days. The update on Aliexpress was "Held by customs". I had ordered this camera from my travel and with my travel date nearing I could not wait any longer and decided to visit Bangalore sub-FGN Post.

This post office is near the Cubbon Park. The customs department is on the 1st floor. On reaching the customs department, I enquired about my package. The people were friendly and looked into my tracking number and gave me a local number. All parcels in this office are tracked using this local number assigned to your order. So it's important to get the local number first.

After that, I was told that my order is held due to improper value declaration by the sender. The sender has put up a value of 65$. The person-in-charge asked me the original value of the order and I told him the actual value [BIG MISTAKE, i wish I had faked the invoice for a lesser amount].

As per their calculation, the import duty is 41% [10+3+28], god knows what are these 10, 3 and 28% are. I tried to reason with him the high import duty but his reply was that its Govt structure and if I need more info then I need to go ask Modi!

So as per their calculation, I had to pay 9k as the import duty. I requested him to reduce it and after a lot of requests he reduced it and asked me to pay 7500 [Including his charges and customs duty]. With no other option, I paid the amount and got my item released.

So lesson learnt:
1. Do Not disclose the original value, get a fake invoice and then go.
2. Carry your ID proof.
3. Do not argue with the people over their, request and try to bargain smoothly.

Hey How did you got your drone. Mine is stuck in customs asking the import license for Drone from DGCA and DGFT. mine is just 6cm in size but they held in customs. do you have any license for drone or without it you got it.

RF606283893SG is my tracking number and since 25th Sept same status. How can i reach the BANGALORE SUB FGN POST through phone?

If its drone then they will held in custom. and will release only if have permission from DGCA and DGFT. They will send one register post to you asking the import license and permission from DGCA. I have got their letter. now i don't have any license so they will confiscate the drone if not provided detail which they are asking within 7days.

He just asked me the real value and I like an idiot showed him the original invoice, which I realized was a mistake on my part. He did not ask for the invoice, I showed him on my own. (In case you plan to go there then get a fake invoke with a low yet reasonable invoice amount, don't show unless asked)

The seller had mentioned it as a "Camera" on the package with a value of 64$.

I had ordered Yi 4k Plus, I had ordered the selfie stick as additional accessories

The shipment was through Singapore Post.

Why do you need my tracking number? But anyways the status was "Send to customs" in the India Post tracking page for almost a week. 

If your parcel is also stuck in BANGALORE SUB FGN POST for a very long time then it is mostly stuck with customs. India post will not mention "Held by Customs" whereas the Singapore Post tracking clearly mentions the status as "Held by Customs". The procedure is that India post will send you a registered post stating that the parcel is held by customs and you need to come and collect it. If you can wait it out then wait and hope they will release from customs, else go there and get it your self after a paying the customs duty.

Quick update. I had ordered a Yi 4k+ camera from Aliexpress, cost $285. The item was stuck in Bangalore sub FGN Post from past 6 days. The update on Aliexpress was "Held by customs". I had ordered this camera from my travel and with my travel date nearing I could not wait any longer and decided to visit Bangalore sub-FGN Post.

This post office is near the Cubbon Park. The customs department is on the 1st floor. On reaching the customs department, I enquired about my package. The people were friendly and looked into my tracking number and gave me a local number. All parcels in this office are tracked using this local number assigned to your order. So it's important to get the local number first.

After that, I was told that my order is held due to improper value declaration by the sender. The sender has put up a value of 65$. The person-in-charge asked me the original value of the order and I told him the actual value [BIG MISTAKE, i wish I had faked the invoice for a lesser amount].

As per their calculation, the import duty is 41% [10+3+28], god knows what are these 10, 3 and 28% are. I tried to reason with him the high import duty but his reply was that its Govt structure and if I need more info then I need to go ask Modi!

So as per their calculation, I had to pay 9k as the import duty. I requested him to reduce it and after a lot of requests he reduced it and asked me to pay 7500 [Including his charges and customs duty]. With no other option, I paid the amount and got my item released.

So lesson learnt:
1. Do Not disclose the original value, get a fake invoice and then go.
2. Carry your ID proof.
3. Do not argue with the people over their, request and try to bargain smoothly.

hai, after disclosing the value,he did not ask for any printed invoice ? what was written on the parcel by seller ?? did seller mentioned as action camera ? camera ? or something else ? which model you ordered ? did you ordered any accessories ? which post did seller send it through ?? can you post tracking number for my curiosity ? thanks for the help.

Pls i suggest you to do the same.

Bangalore SUB FGN dial 080-22869993 and tel your tracking number to the lady who picks your call. this is a long tedious process depend upon your luck.
you will get a local number of 5 digits. get that number and Dial 080-22869992 and tell that number to the person who picks your call. this is also long tedious process.

he will tell the status of your parcel. ask him when can this be cleared. he will tell this will be cleared on so and so week or date.

the easiest way is get the local number and pay a visit to Bangalore SUB FGN near cubbon park, 2nd floor. They will get your package and tell you the duties which will be approximately 41% if it is an electronic item including GST which you cannot claim. do not negotiate and give money to their pockets. instead pay the duty it will fuck their mind. If you do not have the money you can ask them to deliver it to the address parcel has come to so that you can pay to the postman and get the material after wards as well.

Do not Beg to save few bucks, that is how we prosper filth around us.

try getting a fake invoice also for $35 .. i remember a persons paying 45% duty .. he had faked the label but not the invoice ..

I had been to Bangalore FGN Sub post office today to get information regarding my item. I was told that there is a discrepancy in the item's actual value and declared value. I was asked for an invoice copy and credit card statement.

The invoice that I got from banggood was not satisafactory according to him.

When it comes to the card statement, I had booked two different packages that particular day from Banggood, Package 1(already received) worth Rs.2781(40$).... Current package(Stuck in Bangalore sub fgn) worth Rs. 7500($114).

Since the seller declared 38$ for my item I gave the reference of the item worth Rs 2.7k...  :giggle:  That person pointed to the other transaction and asked me about it. I told him that I've already received it.  >:D

would that be a problem?? ???

I suggest you to go to the post office and get more information regarding the package.. I did the same today!

Ok, quick update folks. I reached back Bangalore on Sunday and was given the customs letter by the watchman. The letter asked me to provide the order details, payment mode, technical document (manual),GSTIN details and Customs Duty tariff. I emailed them across the transaction details and got the technical writeup from google and sent them over the info. Post that I called them up and post reading my email they have dispatched the product to Kalyannagar P.O. Now all I am awaiting for is the PO to call me and inform me the customs duty that I need to pay for the product post which I should be getting it. Fingers crossed.

dear Joonty.. we cant say anything some times held by custom 2 days some times 34 days... i experienced is in my case  ordered action camera eken h92 from banggood , they sent me by Singapore post, I have choosen free delivery standard by air parcel service, indian post delivered me very fast.. custom did not ask me for any documents . custom didnt send me letter to submit documents.... even they did not contact me. the check themselves and held maximum 3 days .. i am not sure but it is clear fromtracking record.. i guess custom held parcel maximum 3 days. u can observed below.

I spoke to the lady today over the phone at Bangalore Sub Foreign Post.
She said my package has been detained. I asked what's the reason for being detained.
She asked me what does the package contain.
My package had one T-shirt and some cassette tapes.
Then she gave me a 5 digit local number and another phone number to call and mention that local number to them when I call them.
The number is out of order for most of the time.
I don't know if I have to wait any longer or should I visit the customs.
I have purchased so many times from the same seller. Most of the time I buy CDs, Records, Cassettes, T-shirt, etc.
It was never detained before. I never had to pay any custom duties. This is the first time it's taking this long to be cleared by customs.
I'm pretty sure that I have to pay custom fees or else why it's been detained. :headscratch: :help:

tryy all numbers and if custom office is near .. visit it.. with id proof copy and bill copy or online order copy ..may be they ask you and verify and then release it without custom duty.. common experienced people saying that if imported from china post.. custom dusty is to be  paid and they ask for documents bill and verify and charge duty 20% to 40%or more.. but if from singapore post by india post office air standard parcel delivery.. 99% no need to pay custom if item is in range upto 6000 INR.. i heared that rule is purchase cost is above 20$ then they charge custom duty.. i dont know details exactly..

Yeah, the total amount was for 153 euro.
The seller sent it from Royal mail, UK.
Usually my package arrives in 10-20 days from UK but this time it's taking too long.
It was sent on 4th Nov. Reached customs on 14th. Still waiting to be cleared.
I've seen that sometimes packages are held in customs for more than 2-3 weeks.
Got a feeling that the package has to arrive one day sooner or later.

Unless you mentioned it to the seller to put lower price it will be the actual price mentioned, but ya you can quote quiet less and see, I enquired over email, he asked me to send a soft copy of the receipt, I didn't know a thing about all this. He may know what's in the box I suppose.

I called Bangalore Customs today and the officer asked me the value of the package and what does it contain.
It has some tapes and 1 T-shirt. I told him I have no idea of the value,

Unless tomtop or xxxxx have local clearing operations in India or deputed some agency on their behalf to do the same, it's you & only you who is responsible for clearing any item you've imported.

Here's what you may expect.

1. Pay INR4046 as duty. (up to 40%(or more?) /USD158)
2. Pay <INR4046 as duty.
3. Pay >INR4046 as duty.
4. Pay INR4046 + up to USD158. (Penalty)
5. Pay >INR4046 + up to USD158. (Penalty)
6. Pay no duty. (By luck)
7. Permanent confiscation of item. (Just like that)

Feel free to pick the one you like the most. Unless someone who's actually clearing your item at customs reply to your post, I'm afraid this is the most 'accurate' reply you're going to get. I ordered 2 drones from Banggood (MJX Bugs 3 and Hubsan H002) and did not know about drone ban in India. Now I have received letters from customs asking for DGCA Clearance as these are listed as

RC Quadcopter by them. Both are 2.4 Ghz Flyers, so I think they should be toy grade. Is there any way I can get them out? The letter said they will be confiscated in 7 days. I am very worried. What to do ?

I don't know but I guess it will go through custom clearance first before being dispatched to the local post office. You may call/go there and ask.

Any special reason for not waiting?

wait for few days, you can see same thing happened for me too see above it took 7+ days for me

i think u need to contact kolkata office .it might have been stuck with custom as u have bought one plus 3 ,some say that u have to produce documents for which if you are importing item's value more than 10k.

Assuming that you have responded to my post, i have purchased Oneplus 3 display which costed 5k.

Interestingly the dates after which no information coincides with the dates given by SiddharthMohanta. I have been waiting patiently. this is not the first time im importing a quad, this one is a tiny indoor FPV just the quad and cam attached no Radios nothing. I haven't yet received any show cause notice or letter. please share if you guys have any insight regarding the delay? apparently I received a FPV headset which I ordered along with this. could this be due to the shipping clearance due to Chinese new years?

No. It's simply because you're not allowed to import drones.

I called and spoke to custom dept. They said without NOC they r not going to release it. and I told about new rules he said this is just a draft and we have not received any notification about it.

Just a key chain... It's highly unlikely it should have customs complications.. Was there any wireless gadgets in it? If not suggest you wait for sometime, since you havnt received any intimation from customs...

Sorry to say,but i dont think you gonna receive the it.. there is no point arguing with customs, and no way of getting NOC that easily.. so try to get refund from seller...

I tried ordering lipo/li-ion battery some time back using Belgium post and didnt reach India...I had to wait for 2 months for raise refund request...
