Hi, I know importing 2,4Ghz radio transmitter in India is banned & I left importing any goods from banggood since 2017. But recently Banggood updated shipping option for many products & shipping method is also available for transmitter (by India Direct Mail) & it gave me hope. So, I want to import Radiomaster 2.4Ghz multi-protocol transmitter.

Please tell me, is it possible to import by Banggood or will be held by custom?

When it is clearly mentioned that importing radios is banned then why do you want to risk it? There have been multiple posts on the forum with people getting fined for illegally trying to import RC stuff.

Hi,

I don't think importing TX is banned. You can import it provided the equipment type approval is done for the specific model that you wish to import and give declaration. You can check the process on saralsanchar website. I believe there is a thread on forum explaining entire process.

Radiomaster TX16S is already type approved with ETA-WPC. However I would suggest support LHS and buy locally. LHS spend time, efforts and money getting ETA done.

Thanks,

Hiren

There have been many cases of people being harassed for importing radios even after getting equipment type approval. I personally wouldn't risk it but then you don't really have any other options locally. I couldn't find a TX16s anywhere except on havochobby and that too for 31k. If you are okay with a tx12 then someone on IDRL market is selling it for 8.5k. I also found someone selling a taranis x9d for 16k, not sure which website.

If you were to import it and lets say you get it without any hassles you'd still have to pay a customs duty of 40% on the entire amount so add another 5.7k to the total that you are expecting to pay.

All the best.

India Direct Mail is a duty free shipping method.
Here, item is shipped to their vendor's office on Chinese tracking No then the vendor ships it to us on Indian tracking No. through DHL or Fedex.
Banggod is charging  Shipping Insurance & Tariff Insurance which gives a protection against item lost and custom duty.
Banggood will never ship those items which are likely to get stuck in customs like drones.
Aliexpress orders mostly gets stuck and heavy custom duties are also charged so always avoid that.
LHS sells at 150%-200% cost in India and after Covid-19, they got an excuse to raise the prices.
If difference is just 10-20% then LHS is a good option as it saves time and doesn't involve any risk but if amount is almost 50%-100% higher than original cost then its buyer's call where to buy that product b'cos no risk no gain.

This is based on my past experiences with Banggood and India Direct Mail. I cannot say that this still stands valid in current situation of India-China political tension. It's totally buyer's decision to take risk or not.
"parts8" coupon will give additional Rs 1200 discount at checkout.

Thank u guys for your reply, I really appreciate this :hatsoff: , Banggood is charging extra shipping insurance & tariff insurance in "India Direct mail", May be they can ship to India at this extra cost. Also I read previous posts in which 2.4Ghz transmitter arrived without any issue by India Direct mail.

I will ensure WPC from saralsanchar before I order from Banggood( for worst case if it held by custom).

My priority is multi-protocol transmitter with hall sensor gimbal so, I am planning to purchase Radiomaster tX16s. it is available in LHS at 31k, that I can't afford. Even if custom charge 40% of its price I will go with Banggood.

Now its cheaper version is also available as Radioking TX16s/lite & Eachine TX16s at price of 10k & 13.5k, I will choose cheaper one.

Reviving an old thread.. IM looking for an Frsky X20S. Unfortunately, no one is selling it locally. Has anyone had any luck with importing?
