Lesson for all pilots (full-scale or RC) !

there are many conditions out there where he cannot go for GA
1)He might be on low fuel! :help:
2)In mountain flying as u know there will be only one chance there will be no second one for landing! :'(
3)Sudden gust of tail wind which makes the aircraft eat up all runway without touching down! >:D

and so on
To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

He glided way too long between :21 and :27 at around the same altitude  :headscratch:

Nothing is wrong with the landing. Thats how I land my SPADs... ;D ;D ;D. May be thats a SPAD airplane or SPAD pilot. ;D
"Anything can fly" - SPADs just prove that!

OMG !! Yes indeed better to abort rather than take risks.
Pravven: For all airports, even if its a mountain one, there is always a procedure for aborted landings. Secondly a gust of tail wind will NOT make the aircraft eat up all runway . It will do the opposite. A gust of head wind will indeed make the airplane "float".
The reason that caused this seems to be that the airplane had too much speed, and took time to bleed it all off. Now this is quite usual in mountain flying, as they have very steep decents. Judicious use of spoilers/thrust management is the key. Looks like pilot error, unless there were other factors not visible in the video.

Thats my opinion.

and i was talking about mountain flying not mountain airports! in mountain flying there will be very conggested places where u need to fly btw mountains its called short field TO & LAN! have a look at it

secondly what u r talking about spoilers or thrust reversing both are not available in that plane
plane is beechcraft baron b58 which i have worked for 6 months
hopefully after all i was thaught this before 5yrs in real world aviation!
if i am wrong please correct me!
happy landings

Looks like he came in too fast. There was a lot of head wind seeing at the wind sock. He could have actually come slower and aaraamse landed due to the head wind.

But if you look at the crash, looks like many people would have broken bones if they were no seat belts. Thanks to the seat belts.
