Jittery servo

Hello everyone, I was using my new servos for the first time but after some time of using(less than 5 min) ,they started to jitter. I thought that it was a connection issue but I cross checked it. Plss tell me the solution for this issue.

Ive seen this happen to old servos but never to brand new ones, the following are the cases where I've had servo jitter
1) Faulty servo tester: in this case the servo tester i was using was faulty and would cause the servo to jitter, but when i connected the same servo to the receiver it worked perfectly
2) Multiple servo extension cables used to create a long servo extension cable: having multiple extension cables to make a longer extension cable can cause the servo to jitter cause of multiple contact points, even at times I've had the servo jitter using one single extension cable cause the servo want getting the proper signal due to such a long cable.
3) A large concentration of cables in a small space: if you have wires running all over the place in the fuselage chances are your servos will jitter due to electromagnetic interference.
4) Damaged servo/extension cable : if the servo/extension cable have breakage in the insulation it can cause the servo to jitter.
5) Servo not getting enough power to work: This usually will show up when the servo is under load, when there is no load the servo will work fine but if load is acting on it the servo will start to jitter
6) Connection issue: if the connections are loose the servo will jitter
7) Poor quality or defective piece: These days a lot of servos are being sold at a very attractive price, such servo either go through poor or no quality control inspection, so they may or may not work well.

so yeah this is my experience on servo jitter causes!

Do share details of what brand, size and type of servo you using so that others can also share their input with you.

Thanks Mohammed Naveed. I guess mine is the long wire issue. I am using 9g metal gear servo.

Just connect the servo directly to receiver just to be sure and test it.

Tried that but still same issue. Will try to use shorter wires.

What brand servo is this?

It doesn't have anything specified on it. I got them from a local store.

I think it can also be electromagnetic interference as correctly mentioned in point number 3, so for that I use a ferrite ring on the esc signal wire and may be on all the servos which jitter.

Another thing can be particular location on model, or channel you haven't specified that. But if it's all the servos vs one then try above otherwise it can be a bad servo, which needs to be cleaned, as carbon doesn't know that it's a new servo kept on shelf vs installed on model.

Issue resolved? I also faced same. But in my case the servo was bad.

In my personal experience, which of course may not be as extensive as many of the members, if you buy a reasonable quality servo in the first place, and experience jittering, it's probably a servo extension or loose connection. The next likelihood is the servo itself is bad

This would cover 99% such cases

Reasonable quality? Original branded HiTec, Futaba, JR, even HK and Turnigy. I feel the so called Tower Servos and unbranded are very high risk

For the sake of saving a few hundred rupees, it's never worth compromising. If something goes wrong, you stand to lose a lot more! Plus, there is always a risk of someone getting injured or collateral property damage

I have HiTec HS 311 which I've been using for 15 years or so, still working well!

It was the problem with the servo itself. I will
Get some branded ones next time. Thank u so much eveybody for ur replies.

I have HiTec HS 311 which I've been using for 15 years or so, still working well!

:thumbsup: I was using a duplicate x8r..... the receiver burnt... and took with it a gyro imported from the Netherlands. Just the customs duty was more than the cost of the receiver.  :banghead:
