I wonder why our forces are not asking for such micro drones for insurgent operations in J&K, North East and other Naxal affected areas ? Or we are waiting for our Gov R&D to take another 25 years to develop a  UAV which people are flying today ? It would be much better that Gov Hires an eager and capable Indian teaching outside (to bring current know trends), put him in a good Insti like IIT/NITs or other good college and fund such research, instead of giving a blanket cover to research offering too late, too less.

I am witness of such futile R&D by esteemed CDAC. My 10 node Beowulf Cluster (P-II 400 Mhz) was mightier than the 'Donated' PARAM Super Computer (circa 2002) . IITR used to pay CDAC :Rs: 10 Lacks on the AMC of the Alms, plus the cost on Electricity, cooling, support stuff, occasional repair of Sun's 'White Elephant' -  'SPARC'.
