Slight edit to Gaurav's title - its "Those magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" (one of my all time favorites too!)
Another old one "The Flight of the Phoenix" (has an aeromodelling reference)

Govind Nihlani's Vijeta, my all time favourite, reason, flew Kiran in my training days, went to same squadron as in vijeta , had fire on take off and jumped out exactly like that. More than anything, it was a real movie not some Hollywood mumbo jumbo
