Hey guys

Model rockets requires solid fuel which you may have to order it from the e-commerce websites . These rocket motors are very powerful and not so expensive . But it is really good to have knowledge on making your own rocket fuel .

Steps for making solid fuel :[ WARNING !  -  Follow these steps only under supervision of the elders ]
1] Every fuel is the combination of both fuel and oxidizer . There are many oxidizers in the market so choose your preferable one . It is recommended to use KNO3 [ potassium nitrate ] commonly used as stump remover.
2] Next most important step is to find a perfect ratio for the combining of fuel and oxidizer . The ideal fuel to oxidizer ratio is 2:3 for model rockets . Do test the fuel to oxidizer ratio to get your best ratio for max thrust.
3] The fuel is the common sugar which we use for daily purposes . A mixture of sugar and potassium nitrate is a good rocket fuel as it represents the reaction of solids (nitrate and sugar) to form gases (carbon dioxide and water). The expansion creates thrust that is used to power the rocket!
4] Next step is to caramelize sugar and add KNO3.
5] Transfer the fuel into the nesscary nozzle and wait until it cools down and trun solid.
6] Now your fuel is ready so try testing this rocket in static test for seeing the performance of the fuel.

Fly your rocket into the sky !!

[WARNING : It is advisory to do this under supervision to avoid any mistake . Mixture of suagr and KNO3 is flammable so use it safely with sufficient safety equipments]

Thank you !!!!!

KALYANPRODHAN

The Solid fuel for rocket I made with KNO3 + Charcole + Sulpher + Suger. (Namely Black Powder).
By weight, the ratio is 8:2:1:1.
Mix with very small amount at a time.
You can test with rice dust insted of suger, for storing.
Make the motor body with thick paper ( I Prefer brown paper with glazed magazine paper) multi layer.
Don't use adhesive in every fold, but use at last fold only. The small air gap will insulate and save the motor body from burning.
Make Nozzle using paper curve with two hollow pipe/dowel and rope, or Hard sand ramming.
Make fuse with cotton thread dipping in thin gum solution and rolling with black powder. Dry it.
I Do motor dia 1cm only and nozzle dia 3mm (Appx). Fill the motor with 5-7cm only with black powder, tightly.
Cover/seal the top of the motor (With or without burst charge / stars)
You can use some flash powder with a few copper sulphet crystal for the easiest star.

It flies just like charm.

We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.
