Hi Guys,
I am having some old recordings on microcassettes. Now i want to archieve them on computer. But i am not having any playback device now, so any body having Microcassette player with playback capablity or even if somebody knows if it still available somewhere, as i cannot find it anywhere...
I ready to buy even the old one if playback is working.
This might be useful; SONY TCM-150 Recording Cassette Walkman on ebay.in (http://www.ebay.in/itm/SONY-TCM-150-Recording-Cassette-Walkman-FREE-Shipp-/320767427884?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_203&hash=item4aaf3a852c).
This uses standard size cassette. I have one lying at home which uses Micro cassette its recorder cum playback. In case u need it let me know, will not sell it but once u archive your cassettes you can send it back to me :). Just bear the return travel fare of my oldie player.
Contact some working in Govt Offices, specially offices of Bureaucrat /Secretary. The PA (Personal assistants) would be the last place to find such recorder who use them top take notes from bosses..
But still good place to ask.. put it on your FB/Twitter status...
Thanks Ujjwaana sir,
Right place as adviced. but the operating sets are mostly old, foot operated that are still live and used.
If available, collect defective also. The rubber belt were the culprit for age. Cleaning HEAD, replacing rubber band and cleaning gears would be sufficient for overhauling. Rest electronics are can be replaced with any set if found damaged.
