Title: Motor stopping still after giving full throttle
Post by: Raj.dev on January 17, 2020, 11:36:31 PM
Hi everyone Please guide me i am a beginner
I have completed the body parts of the plane and heading towards wiring part
From today morning I am facing an issue the motor are stopping after a minute even if they are in full throttle And then motor is making some sound and not starting again...after few minutes when again plugging the battery then again it's starting for 30 seconds or a minute then slowly slowly stopping Earlier both motors were starting at same time but now one is starting after another that too after half throttle the other one is starting . Battery is draining very fast in 1 minute from 12.6 volt to 11.5 volts Esc is also heating too much
Motor I have used 1800 kv motor A2212 8T I have used 2 motors same kv Propeller is 10.45 Battery is 11.1 volt 3300 mah battery And FSCT6b transmitter.
Please someone guide me after investing 16000 RS I don't want it should get wasted Please help me

Use a smaller prop. The 10*4.5 is OK for the 1000 KV version of this motor. You are using the `1800 KV version. Prop down to 9" or lower

1600 grams is a big model. You will have to use something like a 3542-1100 KV with 10*7 or 11*5.5 and 60 A ESC

About 3.5 pounds, High Wing Monoplane Trainer, You need about 100 watt/lb
So more than 350 Watts
Your current motor is max 160 Watts

Sir please provide me your number I need someone's proper guidance Please give me your number so that I can contact your regarding these problems. I am not able to properly brief you about the problems I am facing while building and airplane.

@raj.dev,
First the bad news 1. If you are a new pilot, don't try to test fly this yourself 2. If this is your first build, don't try to fly it just yet.
The good news Beautiful model.
Lots of info needed to provide any useful advice 1. Is it an ARF? (Which one?) 2. Is it a kit? (Which one?) 3. Did you build it from a plan? (Which one?) 4. Is it your own design? 5. What's the wing span, chord, total area? 8. What's the all up weight?
Then we can estimate the power requirements. More after we get these details...

Iyer sir is correct, start from basics
I'm sorry, I didn't notice before you had 2 motors! In that case, the response is surprising
You should get some amount of flying
Are your props rotating in the correct direction? Have a look at this build, specifically for the prop rotation and kind of prop

Good morning sir Sir i have given the shape of a sport one... I have used my ideas in making it Sir their is no kit at all used...everything I purchased separately Sir wingspan is 40 inches...fuselage is 29 inches Elevator is 14 inches and stabilizer 9.5 inches...

Sir they are rotating anticlockwise both are rotating in one direction and throwing the air back Sir but because of load or don't know what is the problem after a minute the motor is getting slow even the throttle is full and stopping then...and esc are getting too much heated

Depends on Power (torque), prop, and actual RPM. A 2212-1000 KV on 11 V will not swing a 10*4.5 at 11000 RPM for sure! A 3536-1000 KV may be able to

Then you are overloading the motors!

To select a motor - first start with Power required - watts
Then Thrust. For your kind of plane even thrust > 80% weight should be adequate
Use a Calculator to estimate thrust with different props. Ensure that the power consumed for that prop should be within the capacity of the motor
Here is a RC Plane Calculator : https://rcplanes.online/calc_thrust.htm

One prop should be CW other CCW. And motors should rotate in opposite directions. Otherwise the model will pull to one side
Which ESC are you using? How many Amps?

You could try using a pair of these motors, with 30 A ESC's
Avoid high KV motors. You want more thrust at low Amperage

Why don't you read? There is a whole section in this forum on Electric Power. Plus I have given you a link on a very good post by Mr. K K Iyer
Just remember your basics
V = IR W = VI T (Torque) = F*R => Torque X RPM = Thrust Prop Outer dia => thrust Prop pitch => speed
A "small" outside diameter motor will give less torque, so less thrust. If you increase the RPM you will get more thrust, but at higher amperage, often beyond the capacity of the motor. Every motor has a rated maximum Amperage

There are no easy fixes here
At the end of the day it is only you who has to figure out which motor/prop/ESC to use, and only you to get the model airborne
Read, study, experiment. You have enough to start

Sir for 1800 kv motor if I use 10.45 prop with 40 or 60 amp esc will it fly then without the same problem...then can the motor take load of 10.45 prop

Sir as i can see in this link their are 2 motor one is Clockwise and other anticlockwise... Sir when I am connecting my 1800 kv motor for CCW it's giving the air front side opposite direction instead of throwing back
