He's deleted the complete post from his FB profile now. Man, I didn't say a bad word for him...I just told him if he has claimed things in public let the rebuttal be in public...What a chicken!

Here's my last message on his FB profile:

Girish Sarwal:  Mr. Mukherjee, there is no agitation or jealousy in the aeromodelling circle, but yes there is dismissal and disappointment with the claims that have been made and the consequences that will follow. I have no doubts that Subhanjan will go further with his endeavor. I deal with young minds of his age daily. However, the ignorance and arrogance that has been displayed till now is also not a mark of a professional (or one to be). Yes the aeromodelling community would love to know about the scientific developments and details of the project, and there are a lot of people who are willing to help at eminent positions...Subhanjan may just be able to find his way through the top without the bureaucracy that we all wish to avoid. No aeromodeller is at war here with Subhanjan nor do we have any "demands" but yes the entire aeromodelling community observes discipline, and expects disciplined disbursal of information...so to speak, our only "demand". And as far as being on a public forum is concerned, if claims are made public, rebuttals are bound to be public. Let it be a fair deal.

Update (maybe I am just blocked or the content has actually been deleted):

It will be a shame when this news reaches other countries where FPV is no longer a new thing .

No words to praise this mini UAV pilot .

:giggle: He is stepping first step of politics!! "Badnaam hue to kya naam na hua?" Gosh hyperactivity on this forum made him a recognized personality may be for a short span of time.

This is first class of rising in politics :giggle: Challenge the top (like Kejriwal did to CM delhi). You have no content but people will discuss about you!! you are famous!!!  Go for elections!! fetch some 2-3 seats and sell them on time! make money be happy!!!

Atleast in India we must maintain a low profile and pursue Aero-modelling hobby. You never know Govt. of India will come up with some stupid new rules which could restrict us.

What i observed was this Dimwit newbie uses all cheap level equipments, especially his Radio and the Video cam he used omg no words to say about it, far from anything good. {:)}

If he makes a mess and crashes or becomes a prey of some controversy due to his negligence, the fame he got can take a extreme look and might bring in to public notice that this isn't safe. As it is he has become a public figure in his locality.

Hence his fame & defame could be catastrophic. :banghead:

My bottom line message is we must maintain a low profile and not encourage those people in the hobby who could misuse it.

Arvind sir,
When the crap hits the fan, there will be no looking back and reconsiderations of who said what.
If this isn't nipped in the bud, there will be more; naami or badnami, people tend to forget, but information that goes into archives ends up being writing on the wall (and in stone). He will runaway, like he is doing now, and leave all the aeromodellers to bear the brunt.

I seriously wish Saha should be invited to a workshop conducted by leading valours of FPV and given a taste of what serious FPV is, which even grandmasters never equate to a drone owned by DRDO. I am just wondering what would happen if this drones motor came off in air, like my AVspad, while securing that park...  (complete sarcasm intended)

But there is one thing I am so sure of Arvind ji, Saha's chunav chinhya will be a UAV  :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

Will this( "5Km plane") be a new term among RC flyers? Street racers (supposedly) have "10 second cars" (cars that can run a quarter mile in 10 seconds or less). :giggle:

Dear all members,

Kindly consider this as official reply on behalf of Prantakatha, the NGO with regard to Mr Saha's UAV.

We are extremely apologetic if the above news hurt sentiment of the community on behalf of our organisation. We would like to clarify that we are not specialized in this topic therefore we do not have the authority to claim or counter claim on any technical issue. Regarding our support to Saha was primarily on mentoring him to his career path given the fact that he qualified for one of our support programme targeted to needy youth from Bengal.

Regarding false claims as raised by you, we have already requested Mr Saha to get some  accreditation from some reputed institute related to this domain and thereafter only we can proceed further.
Therefore we hope the community here will understand and appreciate our positioning in terms of our work and our focus which is not on RC planes and therefore we acknowledge our lack of domain  knowledge and any miscommunication (if at all) stemmed out of that. But technical claims are not by us as we did not have the knowledge and therefore we have not authority towards that.

We hope the community will understand and appreciate our present position

We appreciate what your intentions are.

The problem is that you are being taken for a ride by this youngster who is making false claims about inventions and expertise while the reality is that he is just using out-of-the-box commercial stuff that is being used by hundreds (possibly thousands) in our country alone, with many of them having done much more than this kid claims.

The worst part is that he runs and hides the moment anyone asks genuine and benign questions about his claims.

Based on what we have seen so far, you may be better of spending your time and efforts on someone truly worthy of your earnest efforts.

Dear bappaditya!
With his setup and platform even 5 kms looks doubtful. If you see the tenor of our concern. It s more towards the fact that he shouldn't con someone. Loss of credibility is not good for the hobby. I would really be surprised if he can muster accreditation of any kind. Though my best wishes are with him. As long as he doesn't stake tall claims and cons people.
