The design is based on the view that cinema is like a window to a country. It is a true reflection of the culture of a country. When people watch cinema from another country they inch closer in knowing that country better. And when international film festivals are held, where people from various countries are exposed to cinema from other part of the world, it brings people and hence countries together.
This aspect of a film festival is symbolized in the form of a bridge which connects people and brings them closer. The bridge chosen was Bandra worli sea link since its a true representation of the modern Mumbai and has achieved a status of a landmark. The colors represent various ethnicities, nationalities, energy that form the building blocks.
