Comeon who from our forum did this? Comeon be honest.... ? :)) confession time :P

Swapnil

On second thoughts, is this really practical? It certainly is a fun way of delivering stuff. But there are a lot of risks involved. It might not even be economical.

punty

@Swapnil... Though this method is good for Marketing / Advertizement and promotion. Imagine the sales would have boosted by now..Everyone calling the pizzeria to deliver their order using drone too..

Swapnil

Undoubtedly good for advertising and promotion. Many more possibilities than airplanes. But delivering to everyone isn't practical at all.

girishsarwal

Was on the front page of TOI Delhi this morning.
But they claimed it was not a 'commercial delivery' as the pizza was delivered to the CEOs friend,
Said 'commercial delivery' of goods via drones is not allowed in India.

They mention it in a very wrong manner
They know what it is and they themselves might be using it for certain aerial shoots
But if they don't call it a drone the news is not interesting enough
Police never knew about it they came to know from news papers
It was pure advertisement of the restaurant
Thats what i make out of it.......

This is not allowed!  That is not allowed!!  Only Corruption allowed in India!!  I am sick of this!  I think in the near future Kite flying will also be not allowed as someone tried to send a message through his kite!!  LOL

I see a reason behind why the police investigates. They should have at least informed the police prior so that they can be aware and cautious of the matter. What will happen if the quad lost control in mid flight for some reason as it was only testing? And think of public. Few go frenzy on the sight and few really get frightened. On the whole, It would have been a smooth process if they took permission which would have taken 30 mins max..
Although these are just my perception... :P

Never knew that delivering pizzas is the high priority objective for this country.
Perhaps we should inform the new government.
Or better still, forget about pizzas. Whether delivered by motorbike, limosine or quad.

Roshan, Chill down.

When we are concerned about the beautiful hobby up in the air, COPs are concerned about the millions of people living in the ground.
Its just that you should be careful and take all the precaution and measures and prepares for the worst cause scenario.

Imagine a 10KG flying stuff coming right into your face at 50KM per hour with sharp blades running at 5000RPM with a LIPO that is unstable than most explosives unnoticed at the time when you are hearing your favorite music with headphones.

Would you still be supporting this when something like this happens to your close ones, or you would just say,"He should have been careful"??? ??? ??? ???

Pizza delivery is a kind of stunt it is not commercially practical or if this kind of stunt is done
At least  Mumbai Police DGCA and others
Authority should be informed, so that proper safety arrangement can be made.
I read in a news paper a quad got crashed
Performing this stunt , I also hear In a marriage function a quad was gone out of control and crashed.

Public safety is the first priority

EAT ,SLEEP , FLY

I dont oppose the good will of COPS and I am really worried about public safely!! BUT the fact that irritates me is there are no clear rules or laws!!

Hello All

Lets have meaningful outcome of this discussion.

Where is the definition of word "AIR SPACE" for Indian aerial operation?

If picture taken from 15th floor is not aerial, why picture taken by a quad is aerial?

If anyone from our members can find link to this law.

Why any operation through air can be made objectionable? Air Safety !!?

These questions are not to challenge anyone. Lets join hands to work united towards solution.
