Johnny, you know what walker reminds me of!
लेफ्टिनेंट वाकर आ पहुँचा, आगे बड़ा जवानों में,
ज़ख्मी होकर वाकर भागा, उसे अजब हैरानी थी,
you know what i always wondered ? How can a Walker Run ? You just proved it, he could :giggle:
PS
RC Aunt is Mrs KK Iyer, see my rcindia pilgrimage thread, one of the smooth RC Pilots i have know
 Mrs KK Yier..

'Khoob ladi mardani woh to Jhansi wali rani thi'
My Ma used to recite this by heart. God bless you Gusty.
Likewise VC
Not only i know it by heart, i feel it at heart, everytime i say the poem, my eyes have atleast been moist reciting , :hatsoff: Subhadra Kumari Chauhan
A lot of respect for 'RC Aunt' too, though I've only been speaking with 'RC Uncle'. Fine Gentleman with lot's to learn and re learn from.
RC Aunt says she was reminded of "The charge of the Light Brigade" when Gusty was reciting this.
Bingo Sir! I couldn't have put it better. The Charge of the Light Brigade, a part of the Crimean war, preceded the Sepoy Mutiny by only 3 years.
Incidentally, The Charge of the Light Brigade happened approximately 110 years (to the date) before I was born, proud of it.
What are you proud of VC? Being born, the Charge, or the 110 years :giggle: :giggle: :giggle:

The date Sire, the date on which the Charge of the Light Brigade took place.
So VC sir, a mere coincidence of accidental dates has made you proud ;D
BTW, if you want to now the truth about the Sepoy Mutiny and Laxmibai, and of the Crimean War, the American War of Independence etc., you have to read Flashman's adventures by Fraser. Flashman as you good folk will readily remember, was that bounder in 'Tom Brown's Schooldays'' who was expelled from Rugby; but he went on to do 'famous'things' :giggle:
