Looks like a Mini titan xD
Dropping flowers or other stuff is dangerous. Few pilots from delhi drop flower in marriage ceremony using 90 size nitro.
yup its a mini titan
Haa, marriage ceremony with nitros swinging over their head, no one would ever guess what that machine is capable of... SLICING their heads :) . How could they do that ,for they themselves playing safe at distance and drooling over the ignorants. A slight misfortune would turn marriage to .... 108 .
I have seen trex 700 f3c electric with led lightings used in ramlela for many purposes
Like showing hanuman flying over lanka
when people are hanging off local trains / riding overcrowded boats
living in substandard multistorey buildings - danger from a toy heli is
minimal.
think how many people fly helis and how many serious injuries are taking place
- it is nothing. You are more likely to get injured bursting diwali crackers.
bro its like "stepping down onto someone's shoes" vs "stepping on one's shoes" .
@saikat: thats not a toy heli we r talking bout.2500rpm carbon blade can cause grievious injury just enough to ban the hobby if it comes to highlight.
Abhay n avesh commercial interest drives dese people. I have noticed few of them joining rcindia just to learn bout quad n den drop flower on temple n people.
nice Ad ... thanks for sharing

which country you are living ?? ban the hobby ? who is going to ban it and who will enforce??
step out of the city into the real India. people carry guns openly and you are talking about
a ban on toy helicopters ?? By the way - it still is a toy -- please take it and ask anyone on the street.
just because it costs more than a car (nano) ?? and can kill you does not make it otherwise

I am living in the same country as you are. N who said about a ban on Toy Helicopters??? Did i?
So, you are justifying the use of heli or quad in a function right above the head of an unaware crowd that doesnt knows what it can do to them.
If its just a toy then any kid can fly a nitro or gasser plane or heli.
For me they are Hobby aeromodel or hobby grade aircrafts with inherent hazards or dangers. As a responsible areomodeller these hobby grade aircrafts should not be flown over other people heads.
@saikat main difference between toy grade and hobby grade is that toy grade is not meant to be disassembled. Comparing a toy to a hobby grade rc is like comparing a powered wheel chair to a lamborgini. Even a 450 heli at high throttle has potential to seriously injure someone. Align has on its every product, stamped not to fly in public areas.... Crashing a heli into the public , you cant escape saying sorry my mistake. :) cheers
+1 Avesh.
Not flying over anyone is a most basic precaution.
Which we must observe and insist on others too.
About that heli in marriages . I saw these pics somewhere long back
people cease to be responsible when there is money involved.
the scenario you are projecting - while possible, is very very remote.
I am not endorsing this ... but neither am I against it.
people who fly this are making money and they are aware
of the risks.- do you have any evidence otherwise ??
People are posing a greater risk by driving
on public roads without licence
I am quite aware of toy and so called hobby grade - this is nomenclature we
have made ourselves i.e people who are participants in this hobby.
the general public have no notion of this - I know of people
who disassemble so called toy grade and repair - i.e syma parts
are available in the online shops - will this be hobby grade ??
Again I reiterate - just because a heli has ceramic bearings and
cnc machined carbonfibre frame does not make it not a toy.
- there is a saying "perception is reality" thus you percieve these
helis as serious hobby grade - but the vast majority sees them as toys.
Whole point of the above is I agree that flying .90 size heli over crowds
is dangerous - but that danger is miniscule compared to the other more
dangerous dangers we Indians face
thanks dhruva for positing the images..
God, Save Us From the Madness :)
Any rc model whether you call a toy or not is dangerous if not handled carefully and with respect. It may inflict injuries that may be small to very severe. As a duty we as aeromodellers need to avoid flying dangerously or in an area which is crowded.
Cheers
