Good news for RC enthusiasts from Nagpur!

I visited a Hobby electronics shop today and was surprised to find that they were stocking loads of basic RC stuff. On display were BLDC + ESC combos, props of all sizes, boat props, chuck glider kits, boat/ ship kits, coaxial helis etc.

I didn't enquire more about it as it was really crowded there. The prices are obviously a bit high, but now I won't have to wait for days/ weeks if I need something urgently.

Moving further (people like strolling in malls, I like strolling in the tronics market ), I found that a few other shops in the electronics market stock some rc stuff too .

Hope someone opens a dedicated RC shop here, there's loads of people (with fat wallets) wanting to get into RC!

Nope!

As I've already mentioned, it's basically an electronics hobby shop. They don't seem to have much stock of RC stuff. But it's great for local RC hobbyists who need stuff urgently.

same case  here, an electronic shop called Rajeev electronics in pune has BLDC motors. they do not know the technical specs and use. the motors are sold open without any packing/manual.

the buyer needs to know what he is buying. prices are a bit high.

nowadays these shops are stocking small parts required by college projects.

but i still think that HK and Tower are the best.

also found some electronics shops, in Calicut and Cohin, holding many stuffs like BLDCs servos etc..but the price of a micro servo came as 500 Rs/- for one..   and have many type gearboxes, as they told me that for robotics purpose of college students..

Exactly. They know nothing about rc stuff. They just started stocking them because loads of college students used to come asking for them.

They sell a 5x5 prop for Rs. 170.  They were amazed when I told them that I got the same for half the price online!

this place is INDIA HOBBY CENTER MUMBAI....! ( looks from "off lamington road " "near grant road""and near rusi mamta chowk").. mumbaikars can confirm...!

Swapnil..look around once..  many Local Hobby Sellers hold good servos for Rs 200/- each..and is good from HK in orange colour.. 

no i think it is not that Indian Hobby centre but it is visha electronics i have not marked it correctly
