Of late a mobile company has been spearheading the Save our tigers initiatives. I visited the site recently and signed up. The advertisement calls for speaking up for conservation and spreading the word as just about 1411 tigers (estimated) are left in India.
Even if we take this number as being true, then the count is down by 2 (to 1409) since last week 2 tigers were poisoned in one of the national parks.
So am wondering what good would just discussing about the dwindling numbers do? The folks who discuss, blog etc do not kill these wonderful animals and those who kill do not discuss ??? ??? Any ideas as to how this might work?
Good one. I had the same thoughts. What help does it does if .01% of our population do sign up for this initiative ?
It might not do any discernable good - but it definitely will not do any harm
and awareness is better than ignorance
0.01% of the population is a very big number. 8-)If so many people realy cared than it certaily would do some good.
