I agree Anwar bhaii .. I myself amazed by the kind of Who's n Who's of R/C world attend that. But I think its organization is a one man show and does not reflect the bleakness of this hobby in the country. The kinds of AMA show would be a barometer of the real state of R/C popularity as it would be fueled by R/C sales. Hope people like Sanjeev/Sai/Sunil/and other LHS take the commercial scenario to those heights.

Certainly not a one man show, it is always a group effort.  If you mean a "one-off show", you are probably right.  But it is an example of what CAN be done.

I think the membership of forums like this is indicative of the growing popularity of RC in India.  There are more and more demonstrations, even in rural areas. More and more school kids are getting introduced to the hobby.  I think couple more years, and we will see a different picture.  People need to support their local stores a bit more though.

PS: I take this opportunity to thank our member "santhosh" for doing a demo of RC for a summer camp of school kids from many schools near my home town.  The organizers had contacted me to do it, but since I could not make it, Santhosh bhai stepped in and made the event a great success.   Hopefully he will post some pics/videos soon.
