Why astronauts cannot whistle in space

Try cupping your palms tightly around your lips and whistling. You will see that it is almost impossible to do so.

excuse plz , i was wonderring that it is obvious as no air = no wistle (are you talking about wistling in shuttle or in spacesuit).

Forget about space, I can't even whistle on earth , tried it over thousands of time, in 100 different ways(well almost  ;D ), but it never happens.  :(

Is that importent to whistle in space for the astronauts, why cant they use there wireless for calling eachother..... LOL

But we do whistle while we're doing something right? :)

They obviously have intercoms.In fact, it is considered rude to call someone by whistling at them.
