Yesterday my quad came crashing down during landing due to loose motor nut. The half inch precious little nut was lost in the process. It's not easy to find the exact piece online and even if I did, it would take at-least 2-3 weeks to deliver.

'No flying or testing for weeks :('
I was dejected.
One guy was shooting the video. 'Well, there must be some hope'

1. I clipped the accident part of the video, slowed it down 32 times and zoomed it by 8 times.
2. I spent next 30 minutes analysing the exact moment the propeller detached from the frame going back and forth, pausing and resuming, applying different filters.
3. There was a tiny speck moving away from the drone in the opposite direction of the propeller, yes this must be the nut (I've attached the processed video and tried to mark the nut with tap mark. Sorry I'm not good with video editing)
4. Re-created the same camera frame with the phone, marked the wall tracing the parabolic path followed by the nut. I had decreased the search area from around 500 sq feet to 20 sq feet.
5. I found the tiny little nut after searching for around 2 minutes.

My mom was astonished and couldn't believe I found a half inch nut in a vast field with 7 feet high crop and grass. We couldn't find the last one even in home lawn.

I told her everything. "Engineering is not only a career Mom! It is a mindset" I winked.

Guys if you've got a video of your bird while it crashes, it can tell a lot about it.
