Had a great time at the imperial war museum yesterday..
Here is the picture of the mamoth cannon used by the germans against the soviet. Just look at the sheer size of the shell used by this cannon. The cannon and is transported in peices to the firing site and it would take 6 weeks to just assemble it.

Reminds me of the Guns in the Movie "Guns Of Navrone" I think it had Gregory Peck, Anthony Qinn etc.
Some old timers of similar age group would remember. ;D

I hope you did not forget to photogrpah lot of other birds over there. I could see on Salamander (that's what it looks like in the picture) hung over the huge shell

Wow! You are damn good at identifying aircrafts!!.. That is indeed a Salamander - heinkel He-162. Will upload some more pictures. But the quality of the pics are no so good as its taken from my cellphone.

Did a search on "Operation Babylon".. it is also known as Operation Opera and it relates to Israeli airstrike mission on an Iraqi nuclear installation.
Any specific link on the big guns by saddam would be great.

As an infantry man your life depends on identifying friend from foe. I took this training beyond the current breed of aircrafts to even the older and obscure ones which were of interest.
