revolutionized  this term sounds good,,,thanks gusty
analytically there were lhs who could have done good when they were in dominance but they chose to mint out of this hobby ,,
now when the table have turned coming out with offer's and discounts sounds and looks sleazy
when someone does good they should be supported not criticized rather than wasting  airtime on std calls for convincing people not to buy models from me i think there are far better thing one can do to promote this hobby ( no offense intended) show your true spirit if you really wish good for the hobby
its the sad fact but this is what happening with me ( backstabs)

P.S -nothing personal intended i had to speak out someday

pvn2000

Getting the air cleared  ;D

Lot of you guys must be wondering what and who iam referring to but trust me the msg is clear for those who needs to understand

Iam not lowering my standards anymore neither did i want to ,but i was amazed and shocked to see someone lowering his esteem to the level where ethics and self esteem has become obsolete

( i don't wish to further stretch  this topic nor want any comment , just needed to get things cleared ) Thankyou

rcpilotacro

Have seen a lot of discussion, mostly good, about this radio on the diydrones.com site.  And many of these folks know their CRAP !

Wow!!! This  the Radio I have been looking for to recommended to 'Serious' newcomer on a tight budget. I would have love to see the :Rs: 6600 price for Tx+3Rx combo, but it seems overhead of sneaking the Radio into the country is much to force Praveen the price.

This Radio would definitely give competition to Spektrum Dx6i and recently launched Sanwa SD6-G, both OEM Radios...

Thats good development Gusty sir! Its nice to see OEM transmitter now selling at so reasonable price. I had to spend a fortune to get my Futaba from US.

Turnigy 9x non agile DSSS Radio famous for it's software failures. They are sold by many brand names as Imax, Frsky, Turnigy etc. As far as I know Turnigy 9x's which are supplied by hobby king are reprogrammed by them to solve some mixing issues. see here:

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=8992

And being a non agile DSSS radio, it is difficult for me to compare it with futaba or Airtronic's Sanwa, which are both FHSS. I would like to go for superior technology and don't mind paying bit extra for piece of mind.

See Turnigy 9x's review here.

The software issues were fairly resolved in the "version 2" firmware, and that seems to be what is for sale here.

See the last two paragraphs in this review page :

http://www.rcmodelreviews.com/imax9x3.shtml

and the 4th one from the end here :

http://www.rcmodelreviews.com/imax9x4.shtml

This radio is famous for being the first one to have "open source" software, in the DIY circles.

Seems like pretty good in terms of "you get what you pay for, and then some".

Anwar bhai, I think you have represented the facts, mentioned in my reply #19 above.

My intentions are not to criticize this product, but to put the fact on the forum.

And I have clearly mentioned the Links from where I have taken the references, (with out acting pundit, as many users do here) for Forum member to read the review and decide themselves, of course with my views.

There's no doubt, these inexpensive (I can't say them cheap) Chinese Radios have revolutionized  RC world by  making 2.4 Ghz technology affordable.

From my previous posts on this forum, you can clearly know I am a hard core supporter of Indian Hobby shops.

One more thing I want to say here is, this just a beginning, and RCers are so excited about great prices and availability of products
I can see this trend growing more stronger in the future, unless the IHS ready to come out from shadows of HK.

Same here... just wanted to ensure that the significantly negative tone of Reply #19 is put in the right perspective.

The SD-6G is a superior product not too far in price range, and definitely the better choice for people who do not need to get many receivers right away ( in terms of price).

No negative tones just facts. and my views, as price difference between DSSS and FHSS is not very huge.(as you yourself have mentioned)

No negative tones just facts.

Facts...yes, but not fully/really applicable to this model, where software issues were largely dealt with.

Wanted to make sure no newcomer is scared off seeing the "famous for software issues" bit :)

And rest assured I see no hidden agenda in your posts !  I see myself in you, just stating facts.
