WOW! only 10 inches? Looking forward to the build :salute:
Building the fuselage...
Adding the formers.
Adding elevator...
Making the rear deck... foam is bent gently and glued with rubber adhesive.
@Dipanjan yes heard it right! It's only 10inch ;D
Making the turtle deck. :)

@Sharlock and taitil :thanks:
{:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} ..... waiting for maiden...
Some painting job. ;D
Nice work there buddy! ;D
:thanks: prabal
Just wait till kiran indicates the all up weight.
I'm sure it will amaze all members,
(Except 2-3 who are micro specialists)
Looking amazing, will this be flyable by a novice?

Depends upon several factors like wing loading,pitch of the propeller, maneuverability. Since the ocean of micro rc has a wide range of electronics to choose from, it may be a little early to conclude at this stage of the build. In short, I fell it's now going to be the electronics which will decide the level of difficulty. ;)
However with current calculations, the wing loading is around 1.44oz/sq.ft which can make it fly at pretty low speeds.
OMG, the plane is going to be lighter than my battery wire and connector. :headscratch:

Yes! You are right! It's a dexterity of micro aviation. ;D
@kiran
I was expecting it to be somewhere around 10-15grams. Woah.
Wow, the numbers are really impressive. However, I guess these electronics are really hard to get. Do any Indian (e)shop store them?
Looks fantastic. :hats off:
nice build....great job ....waiting for a filght video.....

Micro RC in India is stepping its best foot but majority of the LHS do not carry the necessary stuff. Hunting around is the only option.For eg., you can find coreless motors and lipo in cell phones and bluetooth headsets respectively. Apart from indian LHS,DIY work and Chinese import are the other sources.
Thanks roman sir! :thumbsup:
Wow WoW Wow , it's awesome

@kiran rc
You should post a link to your last year's videos here.
(Like that micro that flew so fast in your school that one couldn't even see it!)
@romanxdsouza,
As far as i know, you are the guy who started this micro stuff on RCI
Can you post links to your last year's builds/videos in a new thread?
There are a few young members who used to correspond with me, but then stopped when i told them to stop just discussing and get on with a build.
I wish they would take a lead from guys like kiran and roman...
(Roman, i know that kiran is young, but i dont know if you are young, middle aged, or old like me!)
Iyer Sir,
Here is the video.

Me sir im not young but young at heart haha im 36yrs ...... i had made 2 threads for micro and slow flyers in wich all my builds are ,aswell as other members builds, these are builds of planes which have sucesfully flown ONLY......sorry if they dont have plans or build pics and vids, from now on i will try to make plans and build videos or pics. Here are the links to my micro and slowflyer ...all my builds are in these 2 threads below.
Micro- http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/successfully-flown-micro-airplane-thread-only/
Slowflyer- http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/show-off-your-scratch-built-slow-pace-slow-flying-airplane-only-(with-rules)here/msg152509/#msg152509
For me i have learnt about micro by first getting into slowflyers 24- 30inch WS ,were i used to try to cut down on weight to the max....try and make them fly as slow and low as possible so people could watch and actually admire them fly rather than flyin up high were no one can see ,straining your neck eyes or even loose your build and damaging electronics because of crash or bad landing with slowflyers and micro its all good ......just my 2 pice all 5fingers are not the same
Below are my favorite builds
preggy - http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/micro-slow-flyer-'-preggy'/new/#new
and
The balsa Tortoise- http://www.rcindia.org/electric-planes/micro-slow-flyer-the-balsa-tortise/msg204547/#new
Here is a pic of me sir just for age reference hahah and my favorite builds ...looking for 1mm or less carbon fibre solid rods to try something new...if anyone could let me know sources in india would be great.....planning a build soon if i find the material for the build.
PS....LHS please try and keep micro gear if possible .....so many of us want to get into mico but cannot find the gear in india ..this would really help.
Weight of airframe and electronics. ;)
3.81g+misc
Total =4.2g!
Nice going Kiran.
Can you please let us know the rx and motor source?

Can you please let us know the rx and motor source?
:thanks:
Tx module and rx were brought long back from a friend of mine in Korea.It is similar to that of plantraco's receiver.
You can get a similar one from banggood.It can bind with flysky protocol-ct6b,th9x or similar. Here is the link.
http://www.banggood.com/DasMikro-Ultralight-0_9g-Micro-FLYSKY-2_4G-4CH-Receiver-p-1058190.html?rmmds=buy (http://www.banggood.com/DasMikro-Ultralight-0_9g-Micro-FLYSKY-2_4G-4CH-Receiver-p-1058190.html?rmmds=buy)
Motor can be brought from banggood. I am using the one from Cx10.
You may search for'CX10 motor' on amazon,ebay,banggood etc.
Coming back to the build...
Here is an homemade actuator. The resistance is about 130ohm.
Enamelled copper wire is slavaged from an old electronic relay.
Making the motor mounts.
Mounting the motor and rx.
Mounting the lipo.
Update: 0.4g will be added as I am going to use slightly larger lipo to increase flight time as well as balance the plane.

Never mind. Experience and encouragement gives a platform for the next step. :thumbsup:
BTW,I am looking for 1mm CF rods too.
Fixing the actuator.
Making the rudder. I have used 2 magnets of 1mm and for hinges I have used cotton thread.
Completing the tail section. :) Now it's the time to install the landing gear. ;)
Landing gear installed and now it's ready to soar around. Stay tuned for the video!
Final AUW. 4.85g
Here is a video.It was a little fast but flew nice and stable. :thumbsup:
