hlo everyone
i have decided to build f22 raptor by flitetest for the sweepstakes 2016.i will be using 5mm and 3mm depron.
wingspan 26 inches
electronics:-
emax cf2822 motor with 9x4.7 propeller.
dys 30a esc
1000mah 3s battery
and 2 metal gear servos.
regards
plan is ready,
now ready to trace the plan on depron.
sheet size 48inch x 26 inch
in the plan elevons were not joined to the wing but i joined them to wing for extra reinforcement.
laminated by 2" packaging tape for more strength
i have added some more pieces on nose.

Huh. :headscratch:
sir,
on the plan there are three diffrent pieces ie wing and 2 elevons.(image 1)but i joined those two elevons with the wing and have cut a single piece on depron (image 2,3)instead of 3 pieces so that on the upper side of wing i dont need to join with tape.(image 4) I thought this method is better than to have three diffrent pieces and joining them by fiber glass tape. :headscratch:
regards
lower side elevons
weight up to now 160gms
paint job
i have used spray paint.
and cockpit is covered by black film.
electronics :-
metal gear servo was not available so i am using 2 plastic gear tower pro 9gms servos.
battery zippy 1000 mah 3s
turnigy 9x4.7 slow fly prop
emax cf2822 motor
30a dys esc
rcb6i tx

specially thanks to my guruji for continuous guidance and always supporting. without him i even can't fly a single model. :hatsoff: :hatsoff:
thank you sir
See desi jugaad carbon fibre pushrod.
Using Jhaadu ki teeli! {:)}
@suyash,
Move the pushrod to the OUTER holes of both servo horn and elevon control horn.
This will reduce the angle by which the control surface can move due to play in the linkage.
sir,
now pushroad is moved to outermost holes.

Next turn tx/rx on, zero the trim and subtrim.
Take arm off from servo and refit so it is at 90 degrees.
Loosen adjuster screw. Clamp elevon at neutral position. Tighten adjuster screw.
Do this for both sides. Then you should get equal up and down movement.
As well as equal movement on left and right side.
Ok?
(After this you can set unequal up/down, left/right differential etc, if reqd, at the tx)
Model is looking superb, suyash
Do remember to use D/R on , these planes are little sensitive. But flies great.
follow Iyer sir advise as above.
thank you manoj sir :thanks:
sir i have moved the servo arm to 90 degrees.

How did you manage to get your cuts so clean? Is your depron laminated or the one like rcbazaar sells? My ft models never ended up so clean, any special tool? Great build!
thank you tilu sir :thanks:
sir,
this is 5mm non laminated depron and i covered all the pieces by 2" packaging tape. for cutting the depron i used this surgical knife and blade.

ft 22 raptor is now ready to fly. ;D
Great! Put up a video of that thing. Lets see how slow and fast it can go.
@suyash
Beautiful {:)}
How did you manage the stickers so fast?
thank you sir,
after giving your idea, i immedietly went to a bike decorative shop. they have big printers for making stickers and number plates. i showed them the pic of f16 thunderbird after half an hour stickers were ready ;D and i started painting the model. :giggle:
@suyash
You can even send these photos to flitetest!

Now add 10-15gms nose weight.
Change prop to 9x6 or 8x6 for more speed.
Reduce control throws and increase expo.
Well done. Congrats.
Veerprathap Those planes are beautiful! How did you manage to keep weight so low witch such thick material?
thank you iyer sir and tilu sir. :thanks:
@tilu sir
now auw is 380gms with electronics ;D
very nice
thank you sir :thanks:
