Welcome all members in my next build.
I've never build any micro plane so it's going to be very exciting to me and hope you will also enjoy.
I got inspired my our forum member "KiranRC" and his build.
I searched some good plans.
I had to choose between the Hurricane and Cessna.
So i decided to make Cessna coz i already have one in .65 size.
Specifications-
Wing span- 54cm
Fuselage- 35cm
Material and tools-
Balsa 1mm, Biofoam,Razor blade, thumb pins, NC dope, NC thinner etc.
I'm going to make it electric so i hV to figure out electronics yet.

Here are some snapshots of plan-

Plan on paper and cutting-

Antriksh

Started sticking the former first

Antriksh

It's going very well.
Landing gear and wing designed.

Antriksh

Wing rib section.
I ahve many broken servos so i thought let's use it's dc driver cuicuit to run a coreless motor of 16g servo which will serve as engine.
So pulled out motor and set pot. so that it run like a simple Bldc motor(i mean throttle stick setting)
also made nose cowling from boifoam.
Sanded to shape.

Antriksh

Eventually rescued bunch of servo who were lying around due to minor defects.
I'm going to make movable rudder but no elevator coz thrust will provide lift or pitch movement.
Here i need some assistant coz i saw some post in which people used this technique "actuator" by earphone magnets and a copper coil.
I snapped the magnet from speaker, and finding something which has ultra thin copper winding.

Good going.  {:)}
Which receiver are you planning to use? Does it have actuator support?
If you are using a conventional receiver you may have to use a servo. (2g) An actuator may not be strong enough for an outdoor model.
However, enamelled copper wire can be extracted from electronic  inductors or relay's.

For the ESC, you can add a smd mosfet to handle more current.Have a look at the pic below.

Thank you Sanjay Sir.

I have 9xr with frsky module so i don't know if any micro receiver are there? :headscratch:
I think using 1.7g servo is better.
Thank you so much for the circuit diagram.

Update
Designed propeller.
It's made of Balsa weights nothing but work like charm.

Russ-40 Trainer, Mr.moss, Pushler, Skysurfer, Mugi , F-22, Red swan, Xtra-300, redfury, flying mantaray.

Antriksh

Thank you Manojswizera.

I ordered a vd5m receiver from rcmumbai.com, it is a micro receiver.
I'm wondering about the battery.
Where can I get 1s 500mah lipo.
Rcmumbai had it earlier but now who has it?
I have 900mah 1s lipo but it's weight is more than what I need.

nice going antriksh,
how are you driving the motor?

Will 750mAh work? Quadkopters has them

Also Mr Satya had some 350mAh 1S Lipos, you can contact him.

Antriksh

@rastsaurabh-

Every servo has brushed motor driving circuit.
Just turn potentiometer to one side till u get a good throttle range.

I think 350mah will be ok.
I'm also thinking of tearing down my 450mah 2s lipo and take out two 1S 450mah lipo.

Wheels and wheel cover.
Wheel cover is made of styrofoam covered with 1mm balsa.

Antriksh

just a comparison

Servo arrived.
So installed them with piano wire.
Most difficult thing is to get pushrod out of fuselage.

rastsaurabh

Very nice and clean built.

Where do you get the piano wire from?

Probably you can get those from a store of musical instruments. I think Guitar strings might also do.

rastsaurabh

I am interested in Piano wires.

I tried searching them in local shops but no luck.

Guitar strings are too thin we can only use the last 2 strings as rest are wrapped with wire.
