Title: 'Airavata'-scratch built T tail plane with Parachute dropping for Sweepstakes-14
Post by: Nithinraj Kotian on May 14, 2014, 08:17:41 PM
Hi friends  :hatsoff:

I was thinking to build a T tail plane from long back but I didn't get any plan so thought of doing my own design for RCI-Sweepstakes 2014. I started collecting photos of T tail plane for fuse and wing design after that I made plan by referring avispad wing and fuse measurements, fuse  and wing structure referred from Rc group's cloud surfer 60i.
First of all I would like to thank Vishal Rao Sir for his endless support, from the begging to the maiden he was helped me all the time and also Anwar sir for providing opportunity to participate in sweepstakes. I always inspired by Sanjay sir's and Tanmay sir's  build logs and I want to thank Vinay sir (vinayb1984)for sponsoring three blade propeller. :hatsoff: :hatsoff: Most of the materials brought it from local hobby store (kinetichobbies.com) and it feels great when u get hobby stuffs locally  :hatsoff:

I have named this plane as "Airavata" means flying white Elephant.  ;)  :giggle:

@Sanjay sir am not a smooth flier :giggle: Maiden done by Vishal sir  :hatsoff: Elephant is on Diet  :giggle:
Fivicol SH is used for wooden works it takes 10 hours to dry if you keep it under sunlight it will dry within 6 hours and stronger than normal fivicol.
