Hey friend well done  I want to just ask that how do u make the landing gear  :hatsoff:

beautiful build yash

All the best for your exams...

thank you sir i will certainly complete this model as i don't really like failure so even if it is not good flight worthy but then also i have many people's expectation on this build so definitely gonna complete it

Yash, I'm getting more and more involved with this build. Go slow, build accurate. She will be a magnificent bird just sitting there. There is a lot of reference material available on the net for the Globemaster - use it and detail, detail, detail.

Don't rush this build - she is special.

All the best.

Yesterday was my SAT exam got the permission to work on this beast for 2 days so here is the work done till now
1.Winglets done looks scale  >:D
2.Did some secondary reinforcements of wing section using the idea of bridges where you do zigzag rod structure :)
3.Controls surfaces done using balsa instead of only foam as it is more rigid.. Balsa is sandwiched between two 3mm depron structure
4.Lots of sanding for mid section to make it more scale looking  (:|~

Excellent build yash keep it up. I saw earlier that you are planning on using the 64mm Dr. mad thrust EDF's would love to see a few pic of the power system. Also what is your expected AUW and roughly how much thrust does the edf unit provide.

Power setup as requested by subbu sir   ;D
My expected AUW will be 1600-1800g max as only power setup is 1000g here's how: used digital weighing machine
1. EDFs-281g
2.LEDs-25g
3.Retracts-120g
4.ESCs-120g
5.Miscellaneous-80g
6.Battery-300g
7.Servos-60g
Approx:1000gms

Each EDF at half throttle will produce 700-800g of thrust(so 1400-1600g thrust expected) and being a cargo plane for scale flying it requires 1:2 thrust to weight ratio so there is no problem in it :) ....

;D yash, sir is to be used for people who have earned it for example sanjay sir.

As for the electronics they look really good. I want to know a little more about your battery system I saw at the beginning you mentioned 2200mah nanotech. I am assuming you are using 2 3S's one for each edf is that right?

yash10896

no sir i am using 4s 2200mah nanotech 45-90c larger C rating battery required for so much amps each edf will take about 45-50A and 2.2*50=100A constant so no voltage problem there but using one battery will surely reduce flight time....
i am making battery type y-connector which i got the idea from a flite test model don't remember the name but it was twin engine one...

Pikle6

Just a thought don't you think it would be simpler to power each edf with its own battery no need for a y cable then. From one of the ESC's just remove the positive wire and then y cable the 2 ESC to Rx wires. I used that setup on my 747 build a while back and worked fine.

Battery Y (parallel) connector may help situations where one battery fails or is at a different charge level than the other ... a little more wire load though...

Are the edf's counter-rotating?

gs

yash10896

@girishsarwal sir nope they are same side rotating and will take subbu sir advice of removing positive from y lead....

Any more suggestion are surely welcomed :)

Giving small amount of time of the day for solving different build problems and one which was a mojor one was naccelles as very less information is available on internet about building naccelles with foam everybody builds with fiberglass but its messy one and i am not confident with it so made like 5 prototypes before i found the correct one tried on HD Foam with hot wire foam cutting but didn't succeeded so then tried with shaping like cone but that also didn't worked and finally with did work has taken my whole day its a long route but made me reach my destination :)

So here is pics of it before sanding and after epoxying(if their is any word like that :) ) it sanded for like half an hour nonstop then final result was satisfying :D

Starting the project once again but it will be slow as i am busy as hell right now so here is something that i have done today  :giggle:

Blasa bed for battery and esc done for battery using 3mm balsa and others 1mm balsa will cover with 3mm depron for more strength :)

Here are the pictures of balsa beds and led's on the fuselage
