So exams finished, and out of sheer excitement to get back in the air again (using something with less than 3 props) i built a mig29k (RCP plans)... Running a 2200kv motor on a 3 cell spinnin a 6*4 prop coupled with a 40a esc so enough power there. Maidened it and it flew greeeat! but the servo linkages were loose because i used cheap wire... so controls were mushy. Ive fixed those now, and using the same servos for both the elevons! :D oh its also got a magnetic hatch cause i just love magnetic hatches <3
Gonna paint it now... here are some of its current pics!

Nice!! {:)}
Plz post the video of your flight if possible.
hey meet2ami i was too excited to record :P ill record the next time i fly though :D
nyc build :thumbsup:
congrats sir.it looks cool. {:)} {:)}.sir you must paint it (:|~
Wow very nice build... loved it. please share the flight video and also if possible share the link of RCP plans... would love to build one.
Awesome build bro, is that white colour radio a modified 9xr.
Thanks guys! I just went for a flight right now.. Sadly my phone decided to crash while recording so the video is corrupted :'(. I'll try recording during the next flight..
This thing is really fast, screaming by at only half throttle... My field is small too so it's a little scary flying this... At low speeds it tends to wingdrop, but it can pull off a pretty good high alpha...
@nitesh yeah that's a modded 9x...
Fast..... hmmmm
Good.
The tx is a beauty, is that 9x or 9xr
It is a 9X nitesh, see the metal handle :)
@Aniket, nice build and your radio too looks good where did you get that outfit :giggle:
Great build aniket
thanks sooraj & Neil ;D
@sooraj i painted it :P
Uploading the video now will link it here when up... Yey!
Hi Aniket.... can u help me with the plans for this model.... looks great..... and maybe i can also try my hands on it....
here's the Vid! ;D ;D

comments welcome :)
I used the Rcpowers Mig 29 V3 Plans i found somewhere on the internet....can't remember where though..
Lovely flight..... Can you please post the plans here or PM them to me please....
Good Flight there aniket, motor looks tad underpowered, she couldn't get to her full potential looked like !!
:thumbsup:
What is the AUW of your plane ? You could have used thinner Depron. Not just the weight, it is adding too much of drag to a speed monster like a MIG29 (who can feel better than RCPilotelectro ;) ;) ;) )

HAHAHA ! ;) High alpha was a dead give away ! MiG 29 starts to wing rock at 9-11 deg alpha so !! I agree on the depron aspect ! true ! very true
@rcpilotacro I was too scared to open her up :P but it's powerful at around 3/4th throttle it takes off vertically from my hand ... @ujwanna if I used any thinner it would be too brittle.. I used 5mm thick depron :)
Yeah at slower speeds there is wing rock... Maybe I'll go to a larger field and test fly next....
Have started painting it now... Will post pics when complete! ;D
:goodjob: :goodjob: Well done Aniket. Very nice :thumbsup:
@aniket210696,
Well done {:)}
Especially liked the launch, and immediate corrective action!
What happened near the tree on the right, around 15sec on the video?
You could try adding a little nose weight...
Best of luck
A really Good Plane Nice !!! :)
Regards,
Aman.
Nice build :thumbsup:
Very nice build !!
Great plane and excellent maiden... Any links to plan?
Thanks everyone! ;D
@iyer sir, I'll keep that in mind for the next flight! :)
Here she is with the basecoat done... I think you can guess what theme I'm going with ;) ;D

So even you are assassin`s creed fanboy like me aren't you.
Finally finished the paint job! That took some time..!
I painted her along the lines of the navy mig29k, but with leader style tails....
Here she is..! Along with her flight engineer ;)

OMG can't wait to fly it noooow!!
;D ;D ;D
Lovely! {:)}
Later you can post details.
Thanks iyer sir! At that tree, 15 seconds into the video, I was banking and got hit by a gust of wind so there was a sudden yaw and wing over, but luckily got it under control! :D
Very nice indeed!
Beautiful {:)} {:)}
nice flying and paint job ;)
Sahil
Superb paint job
Thats A Really Good One!!!
Regards,
Aman.
Nice {:)} {:)}
Very good build and nice looking aniket {:)} {:)}
:goodjob: :iagree:
Thanks everyone!!! ;D will try to post another flying vid soon!
Aniket what about some bomb drop stuff? >:D ;D ;)
Hahahaha @himadri Roy I'll add it to the list ;D... Along with undercarriage ;D ;D
Flying pics!!!! ;D

(:|~ (:|~ (:|~ (:|~ (:|~ {:)} really awesome :salute: :salute: for your work.
Wonderful build...
I have one question.
If you add a layer of gloss does it improve aerodynamics or is it just extra weight?
EDIT:
Corrected a typo.
Excellent! {:)}
All you need now is one nose wheel and hooks on those sticks to catch arrestor wires on deck...
@topalle I've not tried so I wouldn't know :P I guess you'll get a little of both, cause depron by itself is pretty rough.... And a layer of gloss won't be that heavy.. Maybe a few grams?
@iyer sir thanks! I've to attach a tail hook for scale looks anyway :D
Thanks @shijin!
+1 to the photographer too! :salute: :salute:
Well... Aniket... my two bit of advice..... Well your model is excellent build which is well demonstrated here. DO not tamper with the design here. If you need to add the fancy things make another one....
Anyway congratulations on the excellent model..... great pictures.
Hey you are using KF aerofoil yes?? how does it perform while handling please elaborate on that as I am a bit skeptical about the performance of KF aerofoils...
best wishes and Happy Flying....
nice very nice {:)}
Thanks shobhit! :D
I need something on the nose to keep it up during landings, as otherwise it gets damaged if I come in to hot...
I like these kf aerofoils! They're easier to make and I get good performance out of them.. Maybe in the future I'll try comparing these vs traditional aerofoils to see the difference, but for this build they suite me fine...
Next flight will involve inverted and all... Let's see how it performs then! ;D
Dear Aniket,
Well.... inverted flight..... you might have to give a lot of "UP ELEVATOR" to keep the airplane in flight as the aerofoil you have is akin to a clark Y or a flat cambered airofoil. Just be careful of that. Well I too will try this model with a KF airofoil soon....

Sir,
Perhaps you meant UP elevator (for landing) and DOWN elevator (for inverted flight)...
Regards
Its up elevator.... for level flight..... as he is trying to go inverted ..... it will be down elevator on the remote but on the model it will be up elevator trying to do a nose up action... OK whatever we call it.... i am down elevator on the remote to keep the model flying level in inverted level flight.
Aniket bro... let's find some open ground and have a drag race b/w the mig and my cessna ;D :giggle:
Nice build and keep up the good work.
You are one of the best painter I have ever met :hatsoff:
Respects to the navy who keeps our waters safe and the bravehearts who fly these beasts :salute:
Haha! Thanks Prateek ;D Plan a Diwar trip one day! :D
Hey Aniket.. Have you taken a note of the AUW? How much is it?
