for depron purpose i use synthetic fevicole (i think this is what its called) its similar to fevicole but much cheaper (250g for rs20) and dries  much much quicker then fevicol.. and for the other parts i use dendrite and super glue..

update:-

frame build continues,

bottom of the frame-

now the front part...

for the front elevator i used 5mm carbon strips and drilled holes in it and  also coiled some copper wire to give it strength.

connected them to the frame...

these pieces will hold the frame in place...

they will be connected using two screws....

building the elevators....

used hard straws and poked some holes in it, they will serve as the connecting points between two elevetors..

used 5mm depron for this purpose...

after sanding the edges....

mounted them to the frame using some pins. pins are glued to the frame but straws move freely...

connected the control horn and routed the push rod.....

mounted the motors using some zip ties and super glue.. i'm using avionic 2400kv micro motors with 10a esc and 5x3 props..

and routed the electronics at the bottom of the wing.... thats some crazzy electronics arrangement....

This is some feat of engineering going on here Jayant.... Super build.. Well done!

What I find particularly commendable is the conceptualization involved prior to the build

:salute: Jayant

completed the model but unfortunately crashed it (it flew for 4 sec i think) ... :banghead:  :banghead:

couldn't take the flight/crash video but I'm here to show you the model before the crash and after the crash and also the video of wing warping..
I'm really frustrated right now but i don't want to leave my post alone and incomplete..  >:(

so here i go...:-

completed model:- (wheels are added for easy take-off and landing and added some strings to get the effect of cable as in real Wright flyer)

wing warping video:- (i will improve the warping technique on my next build)

after crash:- ( destryed the main part of the model, the wings)

so that's it guys.. hope you enjoyed the build, i will build the upgraded version of this mode because now i know the weak points of this model...

i'm sad that i couldn't apply this model for the sweepstakes but i'm happy that i got a chance to create this amazing flyer and share it with you guys.. :)

Saw the post regarding the crash today. Really unfortunate but nevertheless a wonderful build. Eagerly waiting for your repeat build.
What was it that caused the crash?
