....it was a dark and stormy night.....and then it was day break ;D
here's my 48in, KFm2 WW I monoplane semi scale on the lines of Eindecker, Pflaz. All coro and foam for the KFm step and some in the cowl.
....some color pics

more pics
cowl is made out of 2mm coro and foam, covered with tape.....for the aluminium finish, I used gift wrapper with rubber soln
* AUW is about 580-600g, depending on the battery and uses a 1450 Turnigy motor, 20 A ESC, 9g servos, 7x4 prop with battery ranging from 1000 - 1500 mAh 3cell.
* Controls are aileron and elevator only and the elevator servo has been intentionally installed exposed as I wanted a simpler setup for push rods.
* The pilot and guns are yet to be added... ;D
* Maiden was on last Sunday, mildly windy...but nothing Red Baron couldn't handle :giggle:
* due to cross winds, uneven clearing and lack of rudder, I avoided pursuing attempts to take off and decided on a hand launch instead as I just wanted to fly it....
...hope to get better footage and post videos....in the meanwhile here's the maiden.
