Recently I have stated working on a Depron Hydroplane. The plans were easily available on net. And laser cutting depron was rather easy and cheap. I have assembled the parts about 60-70 %.
But now I m facing an issue (on a new idea I have thought about the plane), I want to fiberglass the hull to give it some extra strength and a nice finish. Bought some 2-3 m fiberglass cloth from Hobbyking but I didn't know which resin or epoxy to use for fiber glassing on depron.

Specs.
Reinforcement-
1mm carbon fiber strips
Fiber glassing

Power system-
Hobbyking Donkey ST2204-1700kv
Donkey 10amp ESC
900mAh 2C 2S Lipo
3x  HK15178 9gm servos

Buy 24 hour Epoxy eg Araldite. Dilute it with NC Thinner (Duco thinner) till it just drips off the brush. Use that. However, check on some scrap Depron first - the thinner might attack the Depron!

If that happens, go to a fibreglass contractor and get some resin with accelerator and use that. Takes some time to dry though

I have tried araldite (without any dilution) and all it had done is formed a rubbery coat on the cloth which was not even stiff as it should be.(like for molding a canopy).
but m gonna try the way you have stated and will update the results soon.
Thank you

Two alternatives.
My RCTLG wings covered using Bob Smith Ind, USA, Finish Cure epoxy, (from Hobby King),
fuselage using Nerolac Wonderwood PU.
18g/sqm fibreglass cloth from Hobby King on both.
For low stress use i find Wonderwood good enough, and easier to use. Apply small amount with a brush and spread with an old credit card.
Hope this helps.

It's not a plane. It's not even Superman or a bird. It's a boat :D

That's why i said low stress use.
Just gave examples of having used both with success.
Will be more careful in future  ;)

Well I liked the epoxy idea to be more accurate coz I have been looking videos on fiber glassing on YouTube and most of them used 30-60min epoxy. Now the next question - can anybody pls. tell me where I can get epoxy from. I cant wait to order from HK , so if there is any rc shop where I can get that stuff. Its out of stock at RCBazaar.  :(

Just go to any hardware &paint store! Good brands are Araldite, Fevitite & Bondtite. Try to get the clear variety
