3D Batix Extra 330 Free plans Great plane

Hi guys, we (I and atul_g) were thinking of making this plane. If anyone else is interested, we can discuss about it in this thread. Below is the link to the discussion in other forum. Plans are available on page number 17 of it.

Let's do it..

The only thing I don't have are the carbon rods. So if anyone wants to part with a 3mm solid carbon rod, would be great. Pm me.

Thanks :)

rcpilotacro

Atul,
i just got mine form RCD, came with the acromaster (Or was it with the Parkmaster :headscratch:

Atul,
Carbon rods will not be a problem.

I was thinking we should make the 36 inch wing version of it with 6 mm Depron.

6mm is available here right?

Do you guys know if a very light landing gear is available in any of LHSs in India? or should it be made from scratch too? is it necessary to have a landing gear for such a plane?

Also people are using 10x4.7 props for this, wont they(props) hit the ground if landing gear is not used?

atul_pg

I have the depron sheets bakya, no worries.

Landing gear can be made of a spring steel wire, but I dont thnk its necessary.

@ augustinev sir - I thought RCD were out of stock, anyways will check with them, thanks :)

rcpilotacro

10x4.7 is the same prop used in parkmaster, great performer for 3d, you will land with motor stopped, so it doesn't matter if prop hits the ground, also learn how to catch an aeroplane, see some anwar bhai's videos, some gr8 catches there.

also heard of this, Prop ho ya model, aakhir toot jaatha hai ;D ;D

Will upload some pics this wknd. Hopefully we will complete a lot of the build..

cheers..

My print outs are also done!

Shivratri is not an off day for me  :banghead:

So i am in office now.

What is your method of transfering plans onto depron?

bokilap

rcpilotacro

cut out a cardboard template, place it on top of the depron and xacto, easy as a breeze

Sir,

Hows it going? Finished with the cutting?

Which motor should be used with this?

People at the other forum are getting AUW of 350-400 gms.

rcpilotacro

planning this motor , for operating at 50-65 % throttle, for experimenting with many prop and for unlimited vertical, especially for rolling manoeuvres, should be good, motor mount has to be good, i think, planning to mod it a little for concealing equipment, let us see. your views, my template is done. Motor has reached today, soldered and ready

but is it not the high speed motor suitable for jets. props below 7"?.

For 3D may not be the suitable motor. You may not be able to use prop larger than 8043 even on a 2S.

Further it will consume larger Amps requiring large C and AH battery. making the model heavier for 3D.

I have bought these two of them to replace the existing 2212/6 of my both Mig-39 and Su-37 for more speed.

I will also be joining in on the build, end this month after I move back to Shillong.

Hey guys

I made the same plane a few months back..may be the build log will be of some help to you guys.

Note : The lipo mentioned in the above thread was not suitable so used a 1050 mah rhino from hobby king,

Guys, i am not still able to decide which motor to use for this.

The AUW is expected to be below 400 gms.

Can you suggest a suitable motor-prop combination?

rcpilotacro

sai 's motor has survived many many crashes, my son crashes like 10 times a day, that motor has been fixed on 3 mounts already, mounts have given way, motor still vrrooms, go with sai

atul_pg

I agree with augustine sir..

Mr.Sai has 2212/6 brushless motor. Go for it..

buzz_rc

2212/6  is a high Kv motor (2200). I would recomend this motor for park jets which require a small prop and high Kv. For the plane you have built, I would suggest using a lower Kv version of the same motor (1000-1400) with a 9 or 10" prop.

ashJR7202

lower kv variant of 2212, as suggested by buzz will be better option than 2200kv motor!!!

i think sai have one
Hanger: Mini Yak-54| 210 Phantom | SU-47| F-15| EuroFighter|Scrappy|SU 27|Eurofighter|Sukhoi PAK FA
Blade MCX| Blade CP PRO
JR XP7202| DX7

atul_pg

Something that I have managed to do so far.. :giggle:

would be putting in all the electronics, hopefully today..

A 3d plane looks small but its got a lot of stuff to work on..whoosh..

Vector

2212/6 is a 2200kv motor for parkjets not for a 3d!!...atul..u've seen it on my F-16 and the corro delta!!

bokilap,  u need a 1000kv motor for ur 3d plane..like 2212/13 from mr.Sai and is the best motor i've ever used (2+ yrs and still running), or that TP2410 like from HK. If ur auw is not more than 400gms, then go for the 'blue wonder' series 1300kv from HK with a 800-1000mah 3s. Have one on the slowfly28. really nice with an 8x6 .

atul_pg

Some more work on the 3d..Would need to buy some servos..Since my build is moving at a snail's pace..I can order them this week.. :giggle:
