I've made and flown a few 3D-printed planes.
I've wanted to build the PlanePrint Seagull for a long time. But, I couldn't start because I couldn't find the right 40mm EDF in India. Finally, I got the EDF from an international shop and started building.
Printing was simple on my new Voron 2.4. The main body is PLA and the wings are made from LW-PLA that's made strong by carbon fibre tubes.
I wasn't sure if the EDF would give enough push, but it worked well even in strong wind.
This one stands out and is a good change from the usual RC planes on the field. It is like a mix of a glider, EDF jet, and a flying wing and it has something from all of these.
Attaching some pictures and a full video of how I built and flew it.
